I know that but has it been reused here? It would be a shame to see something so iconic just being destroyed.

Edit: Looking at photos, the sizes look way off to be the same but it would have been a nice touch.

The old tower was pretty big.

This is at least the second water tower Disney has built since the demolition of the Earful Tower. Not only would reusing it be a nice touch, but a smart way to save a little money.

I had assumed when it was taken down it was turned in scrap. Is it lying around intact someplace?

It's probably been scrapped.

No, it would not have saved money. Building such a structure from new would be cheaper than dismantling, moving, then installing in a new location.

This water tower is not new. It has actually been in the park since close to opening.

It's simply the bold paint job that makes it stand out now. I'll find some pics of it from before when I get home.

New ones have to be moved and installed too. Everything is situational I'm sure there are some situations where it could be cost effective and some where it wouldn't be. I don't think it was really ever a consideration though, it's an example of one hand not knowing what the others doing.
