As much as I snickered at this, over on the Hollywood side of things it's now clear one of the facades is Chucky (The toy boxes and their respective windows?/Cutouts for the plastic so you can see inside the box? are a big giveaway), so all is well with that IP.

Universal announced it would be “inspired by the hit series Chucky”. So I would think an adaptation of the show.

I fully agree with the point of Chucky not being on the website. There's no indication on the site that a house has even been announced.

Is there a thought that the writers strike is impacting HHN as well? I know they plan these event years in advance but we all know that's its constantly adapting. Maybe this could have an impact on their schedules/announcements.

I realize this is regarding Hollywood, but I imagine it applies to both events.

I'm strictly speculating, but The Exorcist: Believer is being done by Blumhouse & David Gordon Green who just collaborated for the recent Halloween trilogy. Exorcist: Believer is dropping mid-October which is when all three Halloween movies dropped. 2 out of 3 of those movies dropped their first trailers mid-June. Wouldn't shock me if Exorcist gets a trailer next week and we get a little cross promo announcement (assuming Exorcist is still happening lol).

Gotcha I think the speculation is ok but spreading inside info is not. As far as I know unfortunately it’s still spec.
