I'd guess that standard CBBR rooms would go somewhere between $150-250 before any discounts, which I hope we'll still have here. It is supposed to be the "moderately priced" hotel after all.

PS: Remember that not just APHolders, but also FLOrida Residents can get discounted rates at Uni's on-site hotels

Where do you people rent these DVC points from. Is there actually a website to find other DVC members?

When I did it, is was disboards.com. This was a long time ago though, my Disney days are far behind me. I am sure there are even more avenues to do it now, but that might be a good start. Disboards had a special forum for it. One thing is for sure, with so many owners not wanting, or unable to use their DVC points, renting is far better than owning.

There are websites to do it, yes.

Thanks. I was merely curious how it all worked. I would never stay on WDW property.

Considering a lot of the rooms will be "family suites", how comparable should those be to the ones at Art of Animation?

If you want the links to two that I know of, let me know. I been thinking of using them to rent my points out.

Thinking about Cabana Bay...
With the supposed future water park most likely fitting in between Cabana Bay and Royal Pacific and not having boat transport from the new resort - does anyone think they could open a smaller gate into IOA right there between Toon Lagoon and JP? Maybe have a pedestrian walkway over the road.

Yep, I brought this up a week ago. Anything is possible at this point. Fact is, no one knows what their plans are.

Seems like an obvious answer to the transport problem. And park hoppers already wet from the water park are right there at the water ride island.

As efficient as it would be, I'd rather not have another gate. I like having "The Entrance" to a theme park.

We drove by today, and sorry I got no pictures, but this looks MASSIVE in person! The fast paced progress they're making here is just :jaw:

I like a grand theme park entrance as much as anyone, and the vast majority of the general public would only experience the main entrance.
Only the small % of ppl at that hotel would use it.
Besides - they already have one!

The road leading out is the proposed second gate. Its currently used for events and bus parking. Universal is too meticulous about their theming, flow, and "every guest gets the same experience" to do a second gate. And let's talk about the most of the guests: Overall, a majority of the guests would still go through PoE, but let's look at onsite hotel guests... the CBB is 1800 rooms, that's the size of the Royal Pacific, the Portofino Bay, and 50 of Hard Rock's rooms combined. During the summer, that's a large chunk of guests who are going to skip City Walk altogether.

What people keep forgetting is that IoA is not the sum of UO. That'd leave access to USF and City Walk to be determined as well. The only access they'll do is somehow to City Walk. Exactly what they'll do is open to the imagination.

Not necessarily. If they did build a bridge to the other side of the road, the side walk on that side leads directly into CityWalk. It would probably be about a 10-15 minute walk.
