Um, the walk from the bridge all the way to to CityWalk (by Margaritaville) is really long (Imagine walking from Jurassic Park all the way out to City Walk). And boring. Way longer than the windy, pretty path from the RPR. I guess that's what you gotta do when you say at the cheapest hotel.

I don't think it is really that much of a longer walking from Portofino to IOA. Its really not that bad of a walk though. I will admit it is a lot easier walk in the AM on the way to the park than it is after being there all day

Besides, the main form of transportation to the parks will be shuttle bus.

the walk actually isn't too bad---it's pretty comparable to the walk from The DL Hotel or The Paradise Pier Hotel to the parks at the Disneyland Resort--and they don't even have the option to take a shuttle!

Agreed! Even the walks from the overflow parking are painfully longer and it wasn't "that" bad. I think we're blowing this out of proportion a little bit from a distance perspective.

It sounds like a great walk! So this walkway will lead to the IOA area of CW right?
The walkway and entrance to CW on that side is already there, it's just the bridge that needs to be built. To answer your question though, yes. There's a slightly hidden path that comes out next to the IOA end of Margaritaville.

People are just often lazy. They will walk it. Also, I love that this opens up 60 more acres for Universal to play with.

An additional SIX THOUSAND ROOMS? WESH must have their facts wrong. Once CBBR opens, there will be around 4,200 rooms on property between the 4 hotels.

An additional 6,000 is insane. Unless they just build additional hi-rise towers as part of CBBR, south of the current construction. But still, that's practically inconceivable.

At full capacity CBBR would hold 9000.

That being said, they definitely don't have the room to build that many hotel rooms currently.

That is true...UNLESS someone let WESH know of Universals intentions of buying the land for sale on Major BLVD. :look: or maybe Uni already has bought that land. the hotels already there would add 6000+ rooms to their portfolio.

"POTENTIALLY."

Though I also think they either misinterpreted or misspoke the information... They probably meant that Universal potentially plans to have 6,000 rooms total on property with future development. If there'll be 4,200 rooms once CBBR opens, then to add another resort with 1,800 rooms, and bring the room total to 6,000 on-site... that makes more sense.

watched. amazed at what i heard. care to offer your thoughts on the 6000 rooms? :shifty:

It's not probable but it's definitely possible, lets see how this new hotel does at this price point.

Holy cow...6000 has to be wrong! That is about the size of a major hotel casino on the Las Vegas strip! :p Looks like they are already starting the exterior by the looks from that video.
