If they find that even when the park is packed, they can spare some of the walkway space, maybe they could add more planter islands in the middle of the non-Parade Route paths.

When these are raised so the perimeter serves as a bench, and they have trees in them, they can offer shady places to sit, and they can break up the "expanse of concrete" feel some areas may have. I marked an example in red.

I can't wait to see CP once it's grown more... really beautiful so far. You can tell this park was setup to support an AP base of locals who can come in after work for a drink at one of the many bars. Atlantic's is stunning. I really hope we get APs sooner than later.

CP is hot, but SNW is worse o_O

Once again I want to remind everyone— it’s not done.

There have been many changes between my first and second visits, and there will be many more before the park officially opens (and most likely more in the first year the park is open). More benches, tables, umbrellas, plantings are coming. It’s not instant, and these are previews for reason.

I don't think planters in the middle of pathways will help. Once the trees they've placed already grow, it'll be fine. There's enough indoor seating throughout that it should be fine. The stores are also huuuuuge, so more than enough spaces to pop into.

However, not having a massive awning over the Hemisphere Stage is a big miss as I'm not sure that many guests will enjoy standing out there in the sun.

Really hoping they add umbrellas throughout SNW for TMs positioned at the minigames though, it was really hot and the bright paint doesn't help in Florida lol

In the evenings, Celestial Park will feature fireworks and light shows. Universal says there are seven million individually programmable LED lights embedded in the area.

NY Times article: 160,000 trees and shrubs planted in Celestial Park.......Shade and sightline concerns should be alleviated. Give them some time to grow. Everything grows fast in Florida.

One of the cool things I noticed in the station for Stardust Racers that the view dead ahead is the Convention Center and its arches, which actually fit nicely win the CP vibe.

Now hopefully they do something about the view on the other side into the backstage area of Potter…

I was watching a video of the Constellation Carousel today and it appears that Universal has turned the ride speed setting all the way down. At least compared to what that ride system is actually capable of.

There's several different variations, all with different music and movement. So it might just be that one

So it’s programmed to move faster when there’s a faster song? Just curious because I was originally worried it was going to trigger my motion sickness, but right now it seems pretty manageable for me. Maybe that was the intention. For reasons I can’t really explain, I know it’s capable of going much faster than the videos I’m seeing.

I don't think it moves faster, but I could be wrong. But the "horses" move higher as the music get more dramatic.

Nicely themed, but it appears to be fairly low capacity. Is there more than one section?

I've not been to Kennywood but, for me, nothing beats Cedar Downs at the Point. Put an updated version of Cedar Downs in Celestial Park and really feel the universe move.

It won't be seen today during the media preview because the park closes at 7pm but y'all aren't ready for nighttime shots of the park at night. It's phenomenal, beautiful, and so relaxing. Even with as many details seen during the day there's a whole bunch more at night!

That view will likely be hidden once the trees get taller. I don't know if you noticed, but if some of the trees are strategically placed to block out the buildings and arches once they get up to the necessary height.

Yeah, this was one of the big sight line issues I alluded to before. The trees there will fill in some space, but hopefully when they build the second attraction that was supposed to be there in the first place it will alleviate that problem.

The design of that place takes you by surprise because it's unlike any of the other restaurants. It's fun watching the area above the kitchens and the animated portraits along the walls.

(It's great to openly talk about these things too, finally!)
