ive been away all week. The coaster looks great, but I am always hoping for a ride that breaks speeds. How fast can a Cheetah run? I guess if it's 60 mph, then it fits well with the theme. I am excited about 3 launches, should make for a fun and thrilling experience.
As far as the name change, put me on the "why?" boat. Considering all their big coasters are one word, why not just call it Cheetah? I kind of agree that Cheetaka is difficult to say, but so is Gwazi, Kumba, Shiekra, and Montu. They arent words you say often, giving it a name like Cheetaka makes it seem more intense.
As it was pointed out, this was a last minute decision, you don't launch a product without a logo, especially when everything else (the theme, design, mapping) has all been revealed. Seems like someone upstairs got cold feet a few weeks from the announcement. Oh well, I will ride regardless, but will most likely refer to it as the Cheetah, when referring to it in conversation.
according to Wiki Pedia, a Cheetah can run up to 75 mph, and can sprint around 65 in 3 secs.
The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is an atypical member of the cat family (Felidae) that is unique in its speed, while lacking strong climbing abilities. The species is the only living member of the genus Acinonyx. It is the fastest land animal, reaching speeds between 112 and 120 km/h (70 and 75 mph)[3][4] in short bursts covering distances up to 460 m (1,510 ft), and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 103 km/h (64 mph) in three seconds, faster than most supercars.[5] Recent studies confirm the cheetah's status as the fastest land animal.[6]
