After going home tonight, I was in the living room when I could hear a pounding noise. I went outside on the balcony and heard it even louder. It was the sound of this going on:

night.JPG

So lets get some discussion going on this...

Plain and simple, it's impressive watching these guys work at night. And they are no stranger to nights and cold weather, these are the same guys who built I:305.

In this photo, it's the left side of the tower with new supports. That's for the second half of the figure 8 before it starts the drop and you'll be banking left at the time.

The middle of this tower is an example of some pretty awesome engineering. The main support in the middle is the one that will hold the cross for the figure 8 point I believe. Also I think it's going to support the top tower portion for the hill after the launch. To me, that middle support is crazy, it's a heart to the tower if i may call it that.

To the right in the picture on the tower, that's where it first starts to turn in the figure 8.

Final thought, this configuration is truly unique and I'm impressed thus far.

Ok that is awesome all you have to do is go out on your patio for an update. I have to drive about 75-90 minutes depending on traffic! And I said it before and I will say it again this coaster is all around awesome so far.

Something interesting to look at....someone posted a link to one of my photos on Busch Gardens Tampa's Facebook page showing off a fully built tower for Cheetah Hunt. Only thing is, this was done a long time ago considering there is no paint on the tower but it's neat to check out. Apparently, this was done at a test site in Hungary to make sure everything fit and held up well. The viewer then let us have these amazing photos.

i think why I'm so impressed with the coaster is watching the video, you tend to think that your out in a open field on this ride but I forget that we will be zooming through and around other things in the park. the figure 8 is right near a walkway. can't wait.

So Busch bought their coaster from some old defunct amusement park in Hungary, I see now.

My first thoughts seeing that picture were very conflicted... awesome! uh, but how can it have rusted? Weird feeling indeed. Makes you think of pictures from closed parks in China or elsewhere.

Simple, Intamin fabricated the track and supports for that section and because of it's uniqueness they assembled it before they did final touches, that way if they needed to cut or weld or anything they could do it before the painting process which would need to be redone had they done it after that point. It's rusted because that's the natural color of the track after it's fabricated before it's treated.

New update from Johnnyupsidedown. Track has been installed going up the tower and it looks like all the supports there are done.

I saw the pics of the pre-assembled tracks, pretty neat stuff, I've never heard of a ride creator doing that before.

If this picture is accurate, not too steep, but it gets steeper as it goes so I'm hoping for big airtime.
