No offense Bret but then you just conderactied yourself you mentioned people calling an Allosaur a T.Rex they would have to know the basic apperance. Also look at how many hits you get for Dinosaur in IMBD alone and thats just movies.

1. Who's Bret?
2. That's not a contradiction. If they knew what a T-Rex looked like, they would know that an Allosaurus isn't a T-Rex. Their answer should be "No idea." Point is, they see aPsittacosaurus, they probably assume Raptor due to their little knowledge of the subject.
3. Please tell me you are not using hits on an IMDB movie page as evidence for your argument...

His name is not Bret......And people don't watch movies to learn. Tons of people don't even watch movies about dinosaurs. It's not everyone's thing.

First off, Bret? :lol:Second off, BRIman is right. Most people don't know each type of dinosaur. Some people know their basic appearance, and some don't even have a clue what they look like. You're seriously overestimating their popularity.

Personally, I think the title of this thread should be changed to something along the lines of "Unusual Guest Quotes" or "Funny Guest Quotes", just so none of the posts come off as too offense/nit-picky.

Even if it was changed, I'm positive we'd still see a lot of nitpicking.

That's true, but still, hearing people say that Triceratops have long necks isn't stupid per se, but it certainly isn't something you would hear everyday, henceforth why a new title might be better for this thread.

Using the term "stupid" to describe all of the descriptions in this thread is pretty harsh overall. Even with the most ridiculous ones, I would say it's simply more "clueless" behavior than "stupid" behavior.

"Yo man, look! It's that joker from District 9!" said a high-schooler to another high-schooler pointing at Flik.

Ok guys, as I work at a Cruise Line we get a TON of dumb complaints, and I mean D U M B, so I figured, I'd add a little to this thread and just post some the VERY REAL and VERY DUMB complaints we get all the time, here's the first one, the story behind it, the guest on a European cruise, the Cruise Director holds a talk that talks about all the things to do in each port:

• Guest stated CD John in his presentation mentioned to be aware of pick pocketers in Rome and not to carry valuable items, therefore she and her son took no cash ashore when they went on the Rome On Your Own which is transportation only. In Rome gst realized she had to pay to get into Coliseum and Vatican and other areas. Guest said they went all the way to Rome and came back seeing nothing and want compensation. John please call the guest asap.

When I went to Wizarding World for the first time 2 weeks after it opening, we were waiting in line for the Three Broomsticks and a family was in front of us. It was pretty hot because its FLORIDA. The mother in front of us said this " I wish this snow were real. Where is Albus Gryffindor when you need him?" My friends and I just looked at each other and started laughing.

It wasn't me but it happened to a fellow CM. The mother was measuring her kid using our height stick, "Hmm, about 47 inches." She turns to the CM and asks, "What are the height requirements at Universal?" The CM had a very puzzled look and couldn't answer her. The mother left due to very small patience...

You mean the same height stick that has a horizontal bar straight across to show minimum height?
