Argh when will universal announce the opening!!!! It's memorial weekend this saturday, so I doubt it's going to open then. Surely an official date should have been announced now.

I'll be there this weekend as well. I'll be sure to check by Gru's house a few times throughout the trip and keep an eye on the Twitter feeds. Not getting my hopes up, though - and I'll still have the Superstar Parade and Cinematic Spectacular to look forward to!

Honestly, in this economy Memorial Day shouldn't be that bad. Cinco de Mayo this year was one of the slowest days I had ever seen at any park. I've never had a bad experience on Memorial Day weekend at a park. Now July 4th, that's a real nightmare.

Yeah, I don't expect Memorial Day to be so crazy, either. I've done it before, as well as Labor Day Weekend, (post-Potter, mind you) and haven't dealt with anything crazy. I expect to see it busy, but not unbearable. The worst crowds I've ever hit were the four days leading up to New Years Day this past year. That was ridiculous.
