They're just décor. The sign for "Miss Hattie's Home for Girls" will sit right above them. I assume they'll start installing a wrought iron gate closer to the opening.

Well, considering it used to be the Cyber Grill location and assuming that the kitchen is still there, it could maybe become a new dining location!

I didn't even think of putting the "Despicable Delights" name with "Miss Hattie." I guess that could work..! When I mentioned a meet-and-greet location, I meant it'd be just in front of the building. I assumed the entrance to the dining location would be on the right side, facing Super Silly Fun Land (though it would make more sense if it faced forward).

They were actively working on the facade all day today and there was air blowing out of one of the AC vents so they must be working inside too.

Unless they finish really quick, I'm expecting for the queue to be similar to Orlando (enter Gru's house, go to covered-but-lightly-themed video screen switchbacks behind the neighbor's houses, reenter Gru's house with the glasses pre show). So while the queue won't be entirely indoors, it will at least be covered.

Team member said something about a May opening (most likely for the public with softs coming in April like Transformers).

Do they already have greeters for DM? I didn't expect it to be staffed with ride ops this quickly (more like a month down the road). 

It doesn't seem like it got delayed, because before I left the talk was entirely March softs/April opening.

I have been hearing March soft/May open.  I would expect SSFL not to be completed when DM soft opens.  Walkthroughs are a great sign of momentum.  I have heard hiring is already in place and moving forward.

My opinion will be Gru's house will actually be T2 preshow room after you make the climb up the ramp.  Salad bar may still be downstairs, but these are the 4K 3D glasses, which USH will want more control over.  T2 main theater will house 2nd DM preshow, ride room and Dance Party before walking down the ramp to the gift shop.

I wonder if our DM will get the micro strip sensors for the 4K 3D glasses similar to Transformers in Orlando.

Did I mention I miss T2???

I don't know if they're going to place the second pre-show inside of the main theater. They built this new structure (soundstage colored walls behind Miss Hattie's) where the original ramp up to the next level used to be. My thoughts are the "salad bar" room with the first pre show is going in there (hence the new high ceiling), the elevation to the next pre show may have been reduced or maybe flattened completely then the elevation change will come when we go into the main theater and into the transformation pods (little staircases). Only a few months left to find out for sure though.

I would not be surprised if we ended up getting a 3rd mini pre-show that divided the the theaters (pending on the rumor that we're going to have multiple theaters).
