People keep saying Muppets will return in summer 2015, but they are going to town on this attraction... I'd be surprised. Delighted, but very surprised.

I mean, it IS Frozen afterall. And Disneyland Resort we're talking about. Their "temporary" additions have been fantastic. The Maleficent preview felt like a whole new attraction practically, and Big Hero 6 and Guardians of the Galaxy both made fantastic use of the Magic Eye theatre and the simulator floor. I think Disney just has a good budget and can afford to "go to town" on the temporary additions.

Look at the holiday versions of Haunted Mansion and It's a small word. Very extensive.

What WDI usually does with these additions is take advantage of the budget of the temporary overlays and use a bit of it to enhance the overall experience for the rest of the year. Like, It's Tough to Be a Bug got a brand new projector and digitized show footage thanks to Maleficent. I think the same will (hopefully) happen with Muppets.

However, that's my wishful thinking. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept it longer than planned.

My biggest gripe is it doesn't fit DCA whatsoever. If they want a Frozen show, they should honestly incorporate a Frozen number into Mickey and the Magical Map.

Well... Muppets already had a digital projector from the Tron previews and such.

Is the Magic Eye Theater in Tomorrowland currently just sitting empty? Seems odd to have to dormant for the holidays.

When I was there last week, it was still showing the Big Hero 6 preview. Guests really like it, even with the movie in theatres, it's amusing.

I wish Disney was as fast as Universal when it comes to new attractions to take advantage of the popularity of Tangled, Big Hero 6, Guardians Of the Galaxy, etc, all of which could have made amazing attractions. The fact that they haven't announced a Guardians attraction for Walt Disney World AND Disneyland yet (WDW is allowed to have Guardians legally!) is beyond me...

so something interesting came out at the Variety talk with Bob Iger on the new star wars attractions, it will be based somewhat on the new films and spinoffs. He even stopped the Imagineers due to that he wanted them to wait till JJ can show it to them..so that is probably telling that we're not going to see any new star wars ride till 2017 or 2018.

Thoughts?

Read that article, I think any new additions will be 2018 or 2019 unfortunately, considering how long Disney builds and considering the next Star Wars is out in December of 2015....so hopefully Disney finds a way to fast track and not just wait for the response to the new movie.

to say something, we're probably seeing some enhancements to Startours for both coasts in 2016 with new scenes (with the current scenes) from The Force Awakens just for the time being.

Frozen Fun launched at DCA today and you know...i'll give it a chance when i'm there. I won't go into the main show but i'll look around the area and see what there is.

*sigh* I love Frozen but I'm so over it. But hey, it's still cute. I just hope they focus on other things soon enough.

Went yesterday, it was extremely crowded, so much so that despite arriving at 840 and leaving at 5....only managed to get on 7 rides.

a few days back, Orlandosentiel had a post which confirmed in a few years, we're seeing Mymagic+ down the line for the resort but it will change a bit.

When it comes here, it better significantly change compared to what is in Orlando and start to better cater to Disneyland's millions of annual pass holders.

Disneyland had to close its doors due to hitting capacity on Christmas day. I hope they get started on Star Wars land because Disneyland needs to expand really badly.

Star Wars Land will just make the park even more packed. I personally would like them to start on the 3rd park already.

Star Wars Land in Toontown would be perfect.

I hate that rumor and don't think it's perfect whatsoever. Toon Town should stay put and just get a nice overhaul. Star Wars should go elsewhere.

I think if we see a third park, it won't be till the beginning of the next decade. I sincerely doubt a third park even as its a great idea, there would have to be a lot of Infastructure changes to make it happen.

While I don't really care about Toontown, I think Star Wars is better of at a third gate.
