OK I'm in charge now...
Move the hat to outside the main entrance.
Retheme Backlot express to Mos Eisley Cantina.
Retheme Indy stunt show to Star Wars
Knock down the whole American Idol/Sounds Dangerous building and build Indiana Jones Adventure.
Replace Studio Tour and LMA with more Pixar Place.
I love the Incredibles idea and even the Monsters inc trackless concept.
Change some scenes in GMA- lose the whole tour guide/gangster nonsense.
And sorry, but lose Aerosmith from RRC. That band is not relevant anymore. Make the guest into a "rock star"...with nextGen you could have fans screaming your name - put your name in lights on a sign...whatever.

are you god?

seriously these ideas are actually amazing

I have a special place in my heart for what will forever be known to me as MGM.
When it first opened, I worked at the newsstand...(now Peevey's drink stand or something)
It sold Marvel comics. In fact way back in 1991 I told my supervisors that we should get Marvel comics toys and merch for that stand instead of all the usual Disney stuff.
Their response: its not popular enough.

IJA wouldn't fit in that spot. Plus, it'd mean plopping a show building 3x the size as Transformers in the middle of the park. The rest is good though

Yeah, I agree, don't like the IJA idea. Plus you talk about taking Aerosmith out because it is not relevant anymore, is Indiana Jones relevant anymore? I mean the last film was not really a success and it was in 2008. Sounds like there will never be a 5th film. I never saw this franchise as having the same staying power as star wars does. So why build a new ride for a franchise that is in the decline vs. picking a franchise that is in the upswing.

True..so how about this...create something new there!
I just want American Idol to be gone...I can go to karaoke at my neighborhood bar.
Also I miss the 3D sound booths...they're just sitting there disused.

i guess it's a good thing they own Marvel now lol too bad merch is taken otherwise there'd be great revenue.

the hat needs to go, and the theater should be the mascot, like i said
obviously expand Pixar Place to demolish Backlot Tour and reimagine the entire area to something Incredibles themed, for that cool ride, have a Monsters Inc attraction in between Incredibles and TSMM, and have a Rataouille restaurant, they could also change the Honey I Shrunk The Kids playground to Bug's Life themed
the Streets of America keeps the area of LMA, but honestly get rid of it and expand there, keep Muppets and just expand SoA, expand on the whole New York concept they got going on
take the Star Wars concept and just reinvent all of that side of Echo Lake to be a Sci-Fi movie land, Star Tours and Mos Eisley Cantina and make it stretch all the way to the Sci-Fi car dine thing
take out Sounds Dangerous and American Idol and make all of that one huge building that can store one ride, whichever of their choosing, or hell use it as part of the Pixar expansion idc just get rid of that mess
Animation Courtyard doesn't need much more in it, but they need to get rid of the Little Mermaid, it's so bad now just put it out of its misery. what they should do is expand the building for the Disney Animation thingy so it can also hold a ride that can push ride technology and take you into the world of Disney (i've had the idea forever, cause it'd be really cool and such a typical yet effective Disney ride), Disney Junior can stay whatever i give up on that place
i'm actually obsessed with that idea Manx about using NextGen to sort of make you the rock star on Rockin Roller Coaster so i support that
FREAKING UPDATE FANTASMIC ALREADY the ride is old, change and add on to the Dancing Bubbles Scene, change the Dancing Animals theme to Tarzan, take out Pocahontas and replace it with something else i feel like there have been enough movies to reinforce a change in that scene, add and change the number of villains, add some more cool looking digital technology to the show, like how Japan's shows have the show needs major work seriously
maybe an expansion on a Twilight Zone area idk just like do more for Sunset Blvd

that's what i'd do to DHS

I wouldn't take it out completely..but I wouldn't have any band. Personally I think they've been lucky that in the 14 years of the ride that Aerosmith didn't have an OD/suicide/major crime that plagues many bands.
I just think its a great opportunity to add NextGen to an existing popular ride and make the guest feel like THEY are the rock star-not just going to an Aerosmith show.

releasing something doesn't mean you're relevant, it just means you released something

I don't disagree with that at all! haha

I wouldn't mind a smaller dark ride that took you through some of Mickey Mouse's best/most famous cartoon shorts.

Relevance with Aerosmith is irrelevant. They transcend generations and if Disney decided to leave it with Aerosmith, it'll be fine. Having said that, I do see them changing it eventually, but with another band who's not a "in the now".

Let's face it. They're just about as relevant now as when they built it. But shooting for revelancy just means it would be dated quicker.

Not quite. Remember in the 90's, they had a couple huge mainstream albums; followed that up with "Don't Want to Miss a Thing" in 1998 and were part of a Super Bowl Halftime show (the era where they went for the big names). They were in the upper-echelon of bands when RnRC opened.

The Twilight Zone hasn't been relevant since the 60's, but no one's mentioning a TOT redo. This has more to do with the lackluster theming in the majority of RnR's ride portion than the band that headlines the attraction, IMHO.

If/when RNRC changes theme they should just ripoff Rockit and have people pick their own songs.

True. But considering how un mainstream rock has become, I think they've held up pretty well.

I do think Areosmith is past even it's '90s prime. That said, I don't think there are any artists of today that can fill the bill. How about a plug your phone in and download your own music, or select from a HUGE choice of options. Sync your selection to you ankle bracelet and your good to go.

Replace the GMR with an Oswald-Black and White Mr. Toads style dark ride.

PIXAR Place Expansion with Syndrome's Lair volcano E-Ticket, Ratatouille Ride and Restaurant. Wall.E/Axiom Sim ride, and Monsters Inc

Mos Eisley Space Port redo of of the Star Tours Plaza/ Sounds Dangerous/AIE area.

The problem with DHS, to do anything near ambitious they are enclosed in, sure you can replace X with Y. IMHO we should have X and Y...

But I blame Eisner for the green lit of MGM Studios without a fall back plan of "What if movie studios don't want to film in the swamp?"

Personally for me it would be reroute the roads at least to give the potential use of more space...
