Especially when they sell turkey leg shirts, magnets, air fresheners, etc in the parks. It just seems odd they're taking them away, but maybe sales are down?

Goodness, they used to sell Turkey Legs at AK. Poor profit margin?

That could be. Bird Flu could have driven up costs on them or availability.

If anyone is interested, this is where the current third track exit is (very close to former Backlot tour entrance):

WDW is bringing the Early Morning Magic hard ticket event to DHS. Entry starts at 7:45am. The only attractions available will be Star Tours and Toy Story Mania. Meet and greets will be Olaf, Woody and Buzz, Mickey and Minnie. Breakfast will be at the ABC Commissary.

Yeah this was announced a few weeks ago. Honestly, I don't care if they offer these things that happen before park open for upcharge as it doesn't affect my experience. What affects my experience is closing the park early for some stupid late night upcharge event (which was thankfully cancelled).

I just don't understand why demo is taking so long. They can work on it day and night since that area of the park is closed. There's no asbestos or other hazardous material to deal with since it's all modern construction.

I think the trouble is with the one in charge of the demolition.

While I am happy to see LMA go, it continues to shock me that they are tearing down a major attraction that opened only 11 years ago.

They've been taking out the stadium very carefully because of the way it was built. All bleachers have been removed, cars shipped to Paris, it's just the shell they're working on now.

As to why it's taking so long... Well it's Disney. But beyond that, LMA sits on Star Wars Land. They've been working much harder on Toy Story Land, which you can't see unless by air. That land is completely demoed with foundations being poured.

In Atlanta we are tearing down two professional sports stadiums that were only 20 years old each. But in the case of LMA I won't miss it.

Nobody liked it though. It was hardly a "major attraction".

Yeah, we went to it once. My GF refused to ever see it again. She thought it was a waste of time and absolutely boring. I also didn't think it was very entertaining. Too much talk, too little interesting action.

I saw LMA twice. The second time I kept wondering why I was still sitting there.
