But you know what it is.

Fun fact as well: it is Universal's highest grossing franchise.

I'm amazed it's higher than Jurassic Park. What's really interesting is that the last 2 films account for about 2/3 of the gross total showing just how popular the serious has become.

It's weird to think they were stealing TV/VCR combos in the original.

Highest grossing film wise currently yes, but not highest money making. Also don't forget inflation. And merchandise is where the money is at.

I don't think it's really fair to compare Pandora (Avatar) versus F&F as theme park attractions. Pandora will be an entire land comprising 2 attractions/restaurant/shop and massive landscaping/pathways with a cost now approaching $800 million (according to some insiders). F&F will be a standalone attraction probably costing between $80 to $125 million. That will be a huge influence on the attendance it influences.

To be fair, I haven't seen Avatar either, but I did know it was about big blue guys because well everyone talked about it.

With F&F being Universals highest grossing franchise I feel like it deserves a little more love than its getting. Especially at UNIVERSAL STUDIOS. Even if the most recent movie was a bit ridiculous. Yes a bit ridiculous for a pretty absurd franchise to begin with.

I thought the fountain/courtyard was staying? Maybe it has to do with water pipes during construction?

Just because some of you here haven't seen F&F doesn't mean it has any less bankability in the park. The last movie alone is #6 biggest movie of all-time worldwide. Somebody's watching it.

Plus, it is a name most have heard of. I have not seen any of the movies, but I know of them and I can easily understand how it could make a cool ride. Generally speaking, I think that a lot of times the IP itself is secondary to how well it can captivate people who are not into the IP, or don't know about it.

The name alone is great.

Who wouldn't want to ride something called Fast and Furious?

The water management plans show something that look like the fountain staying. It could be turned off/dry for any number of reasons

Nice photos. Looks like by the time I get there in May, this will all be leveled. That will be some interesting vista views of backstage that's never been present before.

Is that what that was? It is stout for sure. They are hampered by the tracks for the HE being right there so I think they need to get this whole side down then pull the remaining wall this way to spare the tracks

They had the big white crane up for about an hour in the morning but I couldn't see what they were lifting.

"Damn, they don't make em like this anymore
I ask, cause I'm not sure:
Do anybody make real s*** anymore?"

that overused line always reminds me of Kanye
