I feel like management has to be in some way considering a soft opening considering the crowd built up.

I don't think they'll cave because it will only encourage the same behaviour in the future with bigger crowds.

No no, I know that scene in the movie. I am wondering if the scene on the ride has any audio of say Hagrid telling you to relax or something. How would non-potter fans know what the scene and plant is otherwise....

The explanation for the spike is running out of fuel. Hagrid casts a repairo spell that sends you backwards past the Centaur and into the Snare. He tells you to relax and casts another spell when you drop. Then you go out and he tells you to push the purple button to activate the dragon fire.

Nope. It's literally right next to the USF entrance. Not many people know about this area and you can just walk in through the security for HRH and Portofino.
