Each section for the HP is 30m long and HRR is 45m for both loading and unloading plus it’s a longer train. I think you could have two trains in loading at once but I can’t see simulatenious loading of both trains at once.

I’m assuming 14 people per train will be 7 rows of 2. 3 or 4 across doesn’t fit for an even number of riders per car.

The dispatch time is what’s really going to determine this and that will be determined by the longest block of track. HRRR has 5 blocks with the longest section taking 18 seconds.

Yea, I misspoke, not loading two at once. And I think theoretically they should be able to dispatch every 45 seconds, or at least, that's how long they'll have to load each train once it enters the moving platform. Don't quote me on that though.

That's the number I have in mind as well. I think the better comparison for this ride is to Everest. Checking that there, the longest block of track is about 45secs long with a train dispatching roughly every minute.

The big issue with that is that Everest has an hourly capacity of about 2000 guests with 36 guests to a train. This would give this HP coaster a max hourly capacity of about half that.

Universal will have needed to be extra creative to pump those numbers up.

I know of one very creative solution to the time problem when it comes to the ride's longest scene, but I've already said too much. :look:

So, if the horrendous idea of the bike and sidecar sticks... Maybe the 14 seat configuration could be a front row holding a prop bike next to a 2-seat sidecar, then four rows of 3-seat sidecars behind it? Killing 2 seats would be such a waste, tho... Maybe a prop bike up front and seven 2-seat sidecars behind it? The bike and sidecar idea is just so, so bad. If the bike is a rider seat, it'll be harder to load than a normal seat (hindering load and capacity), and if it's just a prop, then it's a waste of rider space... Awful all around. Sometimes the "iconic" thing doesn't work and it shouldn't be shoehorned into the experience just cause it's "cool." Make the attraction cool and nobody will give the ride vehicle a second thought. I highly doubt anyone is thinking "I'm on a flying bench"while riding FJ; they're looking at the cool stuff around them. A carriage would be just fine and thematically appropriate. If "enchanted benches" were acceptable for FJ, any random RV will do as long as the experience is good... /rant

My inbox is always open 0:)

I’m really at a crossroads with this ride. I went into Gringotts knowing nothing and had a blast but Kong, Fallon and F&F I watched the POVs but this is the first ride in a long time I kind of want to go in knowing nothing.

Having said that, I gots to know!

Deja Vu at Six Flags over Georgia did 2 90 degree stops.

It had lousy capacity and major technical issues. It is long gone.

No you haven't. ;)
Anyway I hope the loading will keep people like me in mind that need a transfer from EV to ride vehicle. Looking at Universals history I have no doubts it will be fine.

Everything I hear about this ride makes me even more excited. Definitely my top ride for 2019 (Star Wars Battle Escape being a close second)... I was skeptical about the ride being outside, but the indoor/outdoor combo has won me over already.

Thanks @AlicaStella for all the info you've provided!!! Cannot wait to see this thing.

On boomerangs the stops are basically lift hills, which I don't expect to be the case here. A better comparison for this ride might be Intamin's impulse coasters.

Not a huge fan of the idea of continuous load as that adds a ton of issues. Maverick loads two, twelve guest trains at a time so I could see that as a better solution. Still interested in the final solution for this.

It’s not quite the same thing, but “Boomerang” rollercoasters by Vekoma travel up a steep spike before falling backwards, so I would imagine something similar to that except as a complete stop.

Low bids. When you tell a company you can build something for 10 million (or whatever) dollars less, they're gonna hire you.

Intamin coasters are most certainly not cheap. They are just as much or more than any major B&M. Intamin is just seen to be a bigger risk for issues/downtime given the cost.

Two trains in the same scene at the same time?

Intamin have a lot more moving parts and are far more complicated. B&M are relatively simple and have the realiability that comes with it.

Intamin has the lowest bids when you tell them what to build. B&M won’t go out of their comfort zone

Are we expecting this to have a tire launch like Jet rescue? I keep seeing it compared to that ride because of the track style. If so that would be a bummer because that launch is practically forceless.

There are several that do a 90 degree angle, 60 shouldn't be a problem. The INTAMIN Impulse coasters have a hold brake on the rear spike (all elctro magnetic). I would guess they have this perfected by now...
