It's location makes me highly doubt it but Smile = Body Collectors?

Some of the code names changed, so perhaps "Home" changed as well.

No they didn't, at least not in the past 4 months.

Question, if we were to get Dracula:Untold as a house, would that still be considered an IP since it's a Universal film?

Ahhhh okay so I'm guessing our four IPs are TWD, Halloween, Alien and Dracula: Untold. Also if Home is indeed Halloween, I'm surprised they would put it in a tent and not a soundstage.

I think a tent would work well for Halloween. If this is the IP lineup I'm honestly surprised (in a good way). Expected the insidious, AHS and the purge to have a house but if this is it and the rest are originals this won't be that bad of a year house wise. Sure WD and Dracula aren't the best choices but hey, thinking positively

I guess Halloween could work in a tent when you think about the recent houses they've pulled off in there (La Llorona, Nevermore). I'm not too thrilled about Dracula either, feel like there were much better IPs they could've chosen if we do get it.

It's likely that it is being used like Wolfman was used a few years ago, as advertising and hype for the movie to the horror fans attending and media covering the event.

I hate houses like that. The movies usually come late October and you go through them thinking "what the hell is going on?" Because at this point the closest you've seen of the movie is the trailer. Call it a commercial but I call it distracting and frustrating

You might want to strike this idea Felipe... Teebin must learn to listen more carefully.

God forbid someone should change something in the matrix... it's still the matrix... but something's different...

That was the biggest reason for my disappointment with the Silent Hill house in Hollywood in 2012. I couldn't appreciate most of the scenes because I hadn't seen the sequel yet.

Well, that's the same as an original house, though. I think not knowing what to expect is a cool aspect of the experience. As long as it tells the story well, and the art and scares are quality, it'll work just as well.

"Home" makes sense for Halloween to me...

halloweenclose.jpg

The tent setting... not so much, however tent houses have clearly evolved over the past 3 years or so. Last year when we walked out La Llorona my buddy said "That was in a tent?!?" cause the facade was so great. That can certainly be achieved again if the facade is made to look like the house.

I cannot believe Alien is actually coming true from the sounds of it. If you listen to our first podcast we said what would we love to see from Halloween Horror Nights and without hesitation my answer was Alien. This could be the greatest house ever created. Or I could be setting myself up for a massive letdown.

As far as the Purge, it was almost certainly be featured at the event, likely as scarezone, IMO. I'm sure the DVD will be released around that time for the sequel, which lends itself to the street setting.

One observation... "Smile" makes me think of the Director... which makes me think of the "Prop master" that was rumored to be an icon a few months back.

Would the fact that Disney has an Alien film scene in The Great Movie Ride at DHS prevent Uni from using the IP for a house? I'm just not sure what Disney's licensing agreement is for use of this IP in a theme park.

I guess, this also applies for most IP houses too. I never saw evil dead and I was confused the entire time. Couldn't imagine cabin's response to a newcomer

This is why I'm working on getting caught up on this season of The Walking Dead and bought AWIL last year. I forgot to watch TCM before Hollywood in 2012 though.

I agree with the tents, if they made a good facade of the house then it could totally destroy a soundstage. A IP house?!?! Now your thinking

I think Halloween would be perfect for a tent house. Halloween is intimate, its scares come from what you cant see in the dark. Not to mention, the original film was so low budget that small scale has become a signature of the movie's charm. I wouldnt want a soundstage wasted on such a small story...Halloween isnt about vast and expansive sets...leave that for something like Alien or The Shining
