Any ideas what and when the next announcement will be? I think we get H2 end of the month.

I would imagine the recent events in Orlando may have pushed back some announcements. It's just not a good time to push out a story to the media right now.

Totally agree, the last thing we need right now is blood and guts. I suspect the next one to be in late July at the least

I've expected that we aren't going to get anything till after TWDA opens up. But, I don't see them waiting till late July to get back.

Plus, there is one IP that seems dualed that may not be a big deal; so that one IP could work..but hey; that is just me.

I'm reading a lot of hubbub here and there about how there are speculated "major" changes to HHN following the recent tragedy.

Has anyone heard anything?

Not that it's about me, but removing guns I could handle. Doing an HHN rehaul like 2001 where the blood turns to slime and everything gets re-jigged would be pretty upsetting.

I know that we live in an over-sensitive age now and this tragedy hit close to home as it relates to Universal, but I hope they're not going to severely alter the event as a result of it.

Not trying to be insensitive but if they turn the event into a Mickey's Not so Scary type of thing I will not be buying tickets this year. I hope this isn't true.

If there is to be any changes, I would imagine that if Purge was to be at the event; it may not be at all.

Orlando does have a spine though, so who knows. Maybe they keep Purge (if it is coming) at the event. But, I do see B&T not touching much on the issues that have been going on (although, that is my opinion).

I would think there's a lot of talk about this because it's an expected common sense conclusion to draw that they would remove elements that are in bad taste. I don't take the talk of this as an indication of actual information being leaked out of big changes. I expect certain elements will be changed. Overall though there's a decent amount of time until the event to not have to worry about general things like blood and basic horror elements that aren't specific to our recent tragedies.

I think Purge would be fine to remain. Someone mentioned machetes and other weapons, but I think anything resembling a rifle or machine gun would be removed.

Removing a few things wouldn't really bother me, I guess I just really worry about the worst outcome because I spend a lot of time and money (like countless others) to attend this event as for me it's a healthy dose of escapism, ironically enough.

Small changes are cool, total revamps or last minute switches would be much less cool. Thanks for weighing in!

Bill & Ted touched on 9/11 in 2001 because they pretty much had to--the show debuted just a few weeks after the attack, it was still all over the news. It was an opening skit that seemed designed to give the audience "permission" to laugh. It was definitely as cathartic as slapstick comedy can be.

In the 15 years since, I can't remember a mention of a single tragedy in the show. Some things just aren't funny.

They did mention Hurricane Sandy within only a few days of that occurring. I think it primarily worked because it was at the end of the run of the show that year.

Remember in 2008 when they made jokes about Heath ledgers death and people were actually booing over it? Ugh my god that show has really hit the lowest of the lows over the years

The joke in question didn't survive past EP, as I recall.

For what it's worth, over on Hollywood's end Murdy did confirm that not only the next maze announcement will happen after TWDA opens, but it'll be for the maze in the Jurassic Park queue. Considering that one is looking to be Krampus, that'll probably be Orlando's next house annoucement as well. (If that's the case of course.)

I think it was the first week until it was cut but EP sounds right too. I just remember there being a terrible response to it. You can find the reactions to it if you dig hard enough in the threads about HHN 18 on OU along with a video of some sort

I was there opening night - joke didn't play. From what I remember reading, it was some variation of, "We're all gonna die, Bill & Ted, though it's a little late for me." When the crowd booed, Joker went with "What? You knew it was coming!"

Am I the only one that didn't like Krampus as a movie? I think the concept for a house has plenty of magic to work with but I just wasn't impressed by the movie. I was expecting more.
