I completely disagree, I love this one. Last year's was kinda unnecessarily complex, and felt kinda silly. This has some weight to it, and shows off what matters. Would've appreciated Sam in there, however, as he is such a big part of this year's event.

Love the clotheslines/sheets scene from Halloween 4. Very authentic.

I can see why fans will eat this up, but wondering if the icon-free movement has run its course. Halloween 4 feels like a stretch, so this is basically selling the event based on just two IPs. If WB is going to keep the big modern IPs away from HHN, might be time for a new approach next year.

Well, we do have five originals. I hope that trend continues if WB and Fox properties are off the table from now on.

I don't think that commercial will be quite as annoying in the queue lines as last year's Eli Roth commercial though.

I think Legacy will probably know the answer to this: how many Poltergeist and Michael Myers appearances will there be in the uʍop ǝpᴉsd∩ part of the Stranger Things house? Those are now my most anticipated scenes!

They went a lot more subdued compared to years past (i.e. hiring a big time director, or over the top with the monsters). Reminds me of their old school commercials a bit.

It doesn't matter which film the house is based on. If Myers is in the ads, it's gonna bring in fans, especially with the new film arriving soon.

Exactly. The only people who are really gonna get in a tiff about it being "Halloween 4" are possibly the "buffs" like us and just people who may be tired of Myers at Horror Nights. Most of the "casual audience" is probably gonna do what they did in 2016 and go "Cool, Michael Myers is back!".
