I could also see it as planning ahead for HHN30 if they're increasing the house count next year as rumored. Including season 3 this year means they can bring back Stranger Things next year a) without falling too far behind the show and/or b) committing a ton of resources to a property that's been at the event already.

If we're looking to make more connections based on current rumors, Lionsgate is the distributor for both House of 1,000 Corpses and the upcoming Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. It would make sense if Universal inked a package deal for a couple of different films, considering how event-friendly movie studios are in short supply lately.

That being said, if it comes to the event, would Scary Stories be a house or a scare zone? Since most of the interest in the IP comes from the illustrations/characters, I think a zone could actually work.

Well this was a whirlwind of info in the past 24 hours now wasn't it?

So after a couple weeks of delays due to other announcements, the house announcements have been officially kicked off. Considering most of us knew ST was returning, now it gets real interesting as we're still in the dark for a majority of the houses...save for one clue given house and two leaked ones.

Either way, I like what's announced/rumored so far. An I look forward to whatever clues are to follow!

Dog also fits this one (The Little Black Dog, and Sam’s New Pet if I’m remembering correctly they thought it was a dog at first) but I’m worried about this one. Due to the timing I’m afraid it’s another early April Fool’s, but I really hope I’m wrong.

I’m hoping Scary Stories comes this year as that IP is one I’d love to see at HHN. I’m just cynical & due to the timing coinciding with last year’s TLB rumors, I’m worried it’s a lie.

Look at it this way: Orlando is starting earlier than last year, Hollywood is starting at the same time as last year.

Orlando clearly needs the additional cushion for opening weekend crowd craziness.

Opening weekend at Hollywood is usually crowded but nothing like Orlando the past two years.

Other reasons for this move (speculated): Hollywood doesn't expect a weekend that earlier would be profitable. (Possibly not unfounded, as the opening weeks were fairly light outside opening night.) It also compresses an already complicated constructed schedule that's compounded by navigating around a working studio lot.

BTW - My Rick and Morty clue was for Stranger Things. I was told season 1&2, not 2&3.
