It makes a huge difference.
If you are going multiple days you can arrive late and still take your time.
If you are going only 1 day then you can still take your time but I would recommend attending as early as possible to see everything.

Our flights land at 3ish on the 8th, so we are hoping to get our luggage dropped off and at the park early enough to enjoy a few houses.
With 3 nights potentially, and looking at individual express prices. ROF + express sounds like the best option. Just makes me nervous having to wait to get tickets. This is torture.

LOL, I'm the same way. I'm so used to buying tickets early and it feels weird to not have them yet.

good advice here... we always get express. We see everything, every night. Admittedly we usually skip the shows though. We will get there early and run to the house we wantt o see most (or like the most afdter the first night) and go through it without using the express. Then come back to it using gthe express. Remember express is only good for 1 run of each house per night.

Yeah I usually do the same and skip the shows but last year Nightmare Fuel was just to good to skip on. Also a thing to remember is that they do sell unlimited express sometimes and you can use that to go through express multiple times for houses.

My party got a little excited and bought express for two nights, even though we're waiting on ROF for our actual tickets. Any chance Uni will let our express purchase go towards ROF + express? Assuming not, since it won't make them any money. And if not, is there a way to give the separate express passes to friends for those nights if we use ROF+Express?

Your best bet is to call once rush of fear is available and explain the situation. Best case they’ll apply the express to the new ticket.

Universal is usually very accommodating to upgrade any unused tickets to more expensive ones. Their customer service people via phone are always very helpful...and in park representatives are great as well.

Not like I bought 2 park tickets instead of park-to-park ones much to my embarrassment and had a 5min hassle free visit to guest relations or anything...

Those truckloads of unused 2020 shirts had to go somewhere!

Nah but for real, that's a very interesting development. I'm very curious on how that happened. Will probably have very little effect on the 2022 season in all likelihood but still strange to see official out-of-park Icon merch like that.

The fact that HHN30 branding is stripped, and the fact that it's just the main Fab-Five of Halloween Horror Nights...honestly makes me kind of fascinated here. This is the first time that an external group, excluding that of Toothsome, will be present in an environment outside the parks.

Depending on how that can be interpreted, that might be a more massive implication than some may realize. And it makes me now..even more curious on what caused Hot Topic to get them.

Not Speculation related news but Rick Spencer passed away yesterday and Rick was a lot of what made HHN amazing. He was why we had an ARG in 2005, he was a huge component & proponent of Legendary Truth in 2008 & 2010 and in later years like 2013. He truly loved the event, and themed entertainment. As a fan I have fond memories of experiencing the event with Rick; he was my boat captain in 2008, he fed my wife clues in Horror Unearthed because he wanted her to be the top Kerezan, and he was a great actor for our experience in 2013 where he was the Lazy Bastard. Hearing his passing is honestly REALLY saddening. He was one of the greats. I hope A&D sends him off with a lot of love and care this event season.

@Brian G., if you'd rather move this to news feel free.

Two things

1. Interesting that it's labeled as "Universal Monsters" despite being HHN Icons

2. Hot Topic house confirmed

I saw Aiello's tweet on this last night as well. It truly saddens me. Rick was a true talent, a kind and gentle man as well as genuine and funny. He was a huge part of making HHN great, but he was also the real thing personally. I hope he gets some kind of send off as well. Well deserved. <sigh>

Just wanted to say that Rick’s passing hits me a bit, I actually just happened to chat him up on my very first HHN when I was in line for The Fallen. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for that conversation.

Rest easy.

Not to dive off to far from speculation, but in light of one of the biggest headlining stories of the day, it's time to reveal the headliner IP...

(although a joke as "horror icon" Winnie the Pooh is not coming to HHN31, I expect Winnie the Pooh in the next Scary Tales house)

Ok, continue with your daily HHN31 speculation...

Still can't believe someone thought this was a good idea

One thing I haven't seen as much spec on - have there been any rumors regarding zones outside of Scarecrow?

Speculation says there’s a IP zone (per usual) and a few zones featuring traditional Halloween characters (like Scarecrows, Trick or Treaters, etc.) with ghoulish twists!

At least that’s what I am lead to believe.
