They are part of the new trend in the rumor game where they don't "Trust but Verify". As soon as they get a piece of intel, they put it out to the universe. Last year, amongst other things, they bet their rep on Nope coming to Halloween Horror Nights Orlando. Obviously, that didn't happen.

Nightmares may not hit it 100%, especially in initial versions, but I know they go through a process to make sure it's as right as possible.

Dracula and the Invisible Man vs Phantom and Hunchback? That's like the KC Chiefs playing a Pop Warner team. Hardly seems like a fair fight.

And 7 IPs seems a bit excessive. Technically 12 if you want to take each Monster and each Blumhouse movie into account :grin:.

Not to mention 3 scarezones getting promoted to houses (assuming Sweets is based off last year's zone).

So only one "original original" house....that was previously an IP. :think:

Yep. And it’s complicated my own efforts as well. I’m getting a lot more information than I typically do, but a lot of it has run through an echo chamber like mad. That makes it hard to tell if it’s right or if it’s just a lot of people repeating the same bad information.

I don’t think they’ve actively done it in the past. Traditionally, the “insiders” are incredibly discerning.

It would be really easy to do it this year, I gather.
