Orlando got it first as an exclusive in 2013 before it appeared in Hollywood in 2014, just like Hollywood got Insidious first as an exclusive in 2013 and again in 2015 before Orlando finally got it in 2016.

Frankly, it sounds like you don't fully understand what I'm talking about, the event's history, or how these houses are designed.

Did you go through those houses? It was extremely obvious that HAVOC was a quick-and-dirty, super-cheap reskin of The Spawning. The conversion from Dead Exposure to Spawning was a bit less obvious thanks to the former's emphasis on strobes, but many of the core set pieces still felt awfully familiar, and that familiarity only grew when they were reused again the following year. Despite this, HAVOC was arguably the surprise hit of the year, proving that a "cheap" house can still be great.

With that said, all houses do not use the same or similar layouts, at all. Horror Hotel > Evil Dead Rise is a rare instance where the precise layout will be reused due to the rights issues with Evil Dead Rise. Orlando had to disassemble their Evil Dead Rise maze, so it didn't make sense to build it again. Hollywood's stayed up, so it made economical sense to give it another go. This isn't a big mystery.

Hollywood has had prominent IPs that Orlando has not. Insidious, Crimson Peak, Black Sabbath. Orlando has also had major IPs that Hollywood did not. An American Werewolf in London, The Cabin in the Woods, The Wolfman, Resident Evil. It's not that uncommon at all.

Considering you don't currently attend Hollywood's event, didn't go through Horror Hotel, and have no intention of going through Evil Dead Rise, I'm not sure what all the mudslinging is about.

What is ur issue here. U mad at me for calling u out in the other thread? I’m just asking about a house and it’s strange to have it one cost and not another IMO. Epically since the cost that is seems to have just had it last year.

I feel like I understand the event fine and the problem is more of me and you. Both cost have different teams so there’s gonna be differences, even with IPs. That’s no surprise.

No I didn’t go though some of the houses you mentioned. I started in HHN23 so the houses before that I didn’t see. And the fact Spawing was the hit of that year is great and might be the case for EDR. The house can be great and in the top 3 if not the top. We don’t know yet as we haven’t seen it yet. But looking at it online n and looking at UHH it kinda a let down to me.

The Spawing was very similar by what I read but I never said HHNO was never guilty of that. In fact, I believe I said they were. Only you said that it was.

Yes we get IPs that HHNH doesn't and visa versa but IMO EDR seems big enough that to me it should have been shared. But like @Nico said I guess Universal doesn’t think so.

And it’s true I never been to HHNH so I never been though UHH. But it did see it online. Which is not the same as walking through it in person at all but I’ve seen the sets and it looked very familiar when I saw the movie. I would love to go through EDR here or in HHNH. Which leads to my disappointment it’s not coming here.

You are right, I mistyped - Orlando got Insidious as part of HHN25, in one of the tents.

My broader point about individual coasts sometimes having exclusivity over major IPs stands.

I can definitely see Dueling Dragons or Darkest Deal having the big head scare. As for the blackout tunnel, as someone else suggested (can't find the comment), I think it would be excellently used for an Invisible Man scare in Unmasked. Completely dark, his taunting voice surrounding you, before BAM!, he's right in your face.

Big head I could see anywhere- Dueling Dragons seems obvious, but Darkest Deal / Oddfellow / Exorcist all mention traveling into other dimensions, so I could see either a generic demon or maybe even Oddfellow himself (wishful thinking).

Same for the black tunnel- but I'm really hoping it's for Bloodmoon, going down a long hallway as chanting gets louder and louder before a massive reveal of, well something.

Probably the biggest example of Hollywood exclusive IP (and I'm still shocked about this), was them getting Scream 4 in 2011.

Evil Dead Rise is one of those “hey, go watch the movie/show” type IP’s; just like the two previously mentioned.

Now that the lineup has been out there for a while and we've got some lore podcasts and overall clarity now, I've been circling back a bit out of curiosity to see how things shaped up from rumors/spec to now.

I was looking back at the May 16th HHN Twitter teaser that had codes that translate to phrases such as: “Uncover the Truth”, “The Signs are Everywhere”, “Hiding in Plain Sight”, “Join the Quest for the Truth”, “If You Dare”, “See You in the Fog”.

Is the overall general consensus now that these were all about Oddfellow (other than See You In The Fog hah)? The "truth" about how he's been intertwined with the entire event's history. How he's always been here in plain sight, etc. The Twitter teaser of a "radio show/podcast" from April 28th used similar phrases and seemed to hint at Oddfellow with things like "A conspiracy over two decades in the making. We'll uncover the truth about what's really going on at HHN. The signs are everywhere, hiding in plain sight" and "What if the legend of HHN is more than just a legend?"

Do we think with the Cthulu looking figure in Boris' window appearing that there may be more to "uncover" with the legend of Oddfellow? Is there even a sliver of a chance of some LT activity? We do know that the Tribute Store is rumored to be comic themed and @SixBillium pointed out earlier the potential for the below:

Charlie McPherson and Tim Foyle both also had references to Legendary Truth... an edition of Ultra-Violent Comics with a Case Files vibe for the tribute store?

Feel free to shut me down and say it's all mindless ad speak or that the things being hidden in plain sight were the bloody Universal Palace Ticket for “Phantom of the Opera”, ticket for Dr. Oddfellow’s Carnival of Thrills, and devil & dragon hints lol. A super lore-heavy year would be a good opportunity to re-introduce in park games like 22 and 23 had, IIRC.

Very well said. I can't imagine Legendary Truth is very happy about Oddfellow or Pumpkin Lord, although it is rather funny!

That’s a relief. But right as u said that and I made my post I went straight to the HHN site to look at the prices for UFFP with express. I have the UFF and might add express to it after the first night.

Yeah, that's one thing I learned the hard way with HHN. You have to buy ASAP when things go on sale because prices will go up as we inch closer to the event. Also, if you have a year like this with a IP in heavy demand like Stranger Things, buy whatever add on you want to buy early cause the unmasking the horror tours are sold out for the 6 house tour.

This year is going to be insane, I can only hope and pray OPs are prepared cause the crowds are going to be massive and I am not ready. Hopefully, everything balances out with all the food offerings, solid house lineup and great scare zones cause...

Yeah my issue is I can hit the most dates in September so rush or ultimate is best. Not sure I want to pay ultimate prices though as I’ll be out of town for two weekends in October, but I’ll want to go a weekend in late October.

Yeah - because we have such a stacked lineup I'm hoping it's enough to disperse crowds. Even having a good chunk of people in Diagon for the Death Eaters should be a huge benefit to crowd control.
