Alright you got me there. But I can't see Murdy passing up on any of the properties I stated above unless Universal forces him to do a "Mummy" Maze.

Here's the thing about the Mummy. It's coming out at a time that is beyond the timeframe to test the success of the criteria. It's coming out right in the Summer when everything is locked in and it's too late by then to see how it does. If it flops and they announce it, it's gonna be awkward. I know they took a chance with Evil Dead back in '13, but that was a healthy gamble as that was based on a property that was highly requested.

If they do the Mummy, unless the movie is a surprise hit, I feel like a lot of people would just go, "Um, why?" I don't see anybody getting really stoked for a Mummy house. It wouldn't really be a promotional house unless they want you to buy the DVDs…well, come to think of it, I guess they could do a house on this to push for DVD sales. Still, I think they could do something else besides the Mummy. If it does happen, I hope it's great. Crimson Peak was a promotional house and I thought it was the most beautifully-designed maze HHN has ever done since La Llorona.

My new Maze Predictions (Minus TWD, Along with Location Predictions, and Codename Connections)

- American Horror Story ("Writer's Block", FDTD Area)

- The Conjuring ("The Big Chill", JP Queue)

- The Thing (Mummy Queue)

- The Shining ("Charles", Metro Sets)

- It ("Lemonade", Outside of 747)

- Hellraiser (Waterworld Queue)

The Hints "The Big Chill" has gives "The Conjuring" away too easily and plus it's the JP Queue. And "Lemonade" I could see it being "It" as the codename. It's more of a gut feeling. "Lemonade" could also be "Hellraiser" or something entirely different. We won't know until someone cracks the codename.

Replace the Thing with Alien, and that predicted line up is essentially what I think may happen this year. If that is the line-up, I think it would be a fantastic year. I think the Conjuring sounds like it could be a possibility since Murdy compared "The Big Chill" with the Exorcist (Which are pretty similar themes).

HHNManics said:
Yes it would feature both "The Conjuring" and "The Conjuring 2". And also there is a good chance that "Alien Covenant" isn't coming because a lot of the Props were destroyed and the 2014 Maze remains one of the most expensive Mazes ever. And "The Mummy" doesn't seem like it has enough content and the fact that Murdy tweeted someone who said "Does it star Tom Cruise" and he said "Yeah it's cocktail" has me believe it will not be coming.

I seriously doubt ALL of those props were destroyed. If previous mazes give you any implication, Murdy tends to be a pack rat and likes to save a lot of stuff. Remember 2013 how much stuff was reused? Look at the Purge gauntlet at how many reused props were there. Long time event-goers will notice them. If you were John Murdy who just designed AVP, I'm sure you would think, "What if I'm able to do Alien later in my career? I can save the props/puppets to cut costs on designing the sets". I just don't see him destroying EVERYTHING despite AVP being there for two years. Thus, with Covenant coming this year, I think Alien is a strong possibility.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post. Intended for these posts to merge but that didn't happen. Please merge them haha

True. But I don't know we will see. If they do it. Cool. But I'm not gonna really be all that stoked for it unless "The Mummy" turns out to be a great movie with tons of Scares (Which I don't know because I haven't seen it).

"The Thing" will be having it's 35th Anniversary on June 25th. It's a property that Murdy says he would want to do. He has worked with John Carpenter before (I believe, "Halloween" 2015). It's extremely popular and iconic. Not all of Alien's Props were destroyed, you know they obviously kept some of that stuff. But stuff like the Alien Queen was rid of (Which I doubt it being used in a "Alien Covenant" Maze). The same thing applies to "The Thing", they probably kept a lot of Props from the 2011 Maze. But the thing is I see "The Thing" coming because of it being a Hollywood Exclusive. But time will tell. If "Alien Covenant" comes to the Event. Cool. I will actually be kinda stoked for it.

Was there a reason you guys are thinking Lemonade is "It"?

*Scratches head nervously* Um... Well it's a gut feeling. Murdy did say when writing "Lemonade" he was reading the script for it and it hasn't come out. Out of my Speculated Properties this is the one I'm certain it's "Lemonade" or "Hellraiser" is or something else. We ultimately just don't have enough hints and that's why in my opinion... "Lemonade" is a nightmare.

Got it! Because I will say, I didn't really see anything in the movie(that I absolutely did not see yet idk what you're talking about) that would even remotely hint to Lemonade applying to it. So it'd have to be a super carney codename to apply to it.

Lemonade is a carny codename in of itself. The only hint to it is that it was inspired by something the director told John about the property. That's a private conversation that we wouldn't have anyway of ever hearing, which gives us absolutely nothing to go off of besides 'Lemonade'

The codename applying to Get Out makes much more sense in the way my friend caught it now....

I'm highly starting to doubt this other property, which I am totally speculating you have seen, is coming at all.

Let's say Get Out does come to HHN, what would it feature? I can't think of much but you seem to have a good grip on the idea.

Honestly, we're in the same boat. No idea. I would assume it'd have to be very original. Get Out as of now is just a guess. Not leaning towards it, but there's some evidence that does hold it down .

If you don't mind me asking, what were some of the things your friend mentioned about Lemonade's connection with Get Out?

There is a very conspicuous reference to Beyonce's Lemonade in the film, both visually and in the background. Won't mention how, as it's a spoiler of sorts, but subtle, and my friend who peeped the screening suspects it's an obvious reference to the code name.

However, it is out of pure speculation as well.

It appears my source was correct as Murdy has confirmed there will be only one TV themed maze, safe to say it will be AHS.

Murdy kinda confirmed a house returning from last year but "not in a literal sense".  Also a safe bet that it's toward AHS but I would still take it with a grain of salt.

No repeats in a literal sense, one tv themed maze. All signs point towards AHS (as if we didn't know that already)

And there are two mazes that john is REALLY REALLY REALLY excited for, sounds like IT and The Shining might actually be a reality

I'm going with the Shining and Hellraiser.

EDIT: Murdy has confirmed Lemonade is based off an already released film... hmm...

Although I REALLY want a Hellraiser maze, I remember last year around this time, when none of the 2016 mazes had be released, someone asked Murdy during a Q&A if they'd ever do a Hellraiser maze, and he responded that he was waiting for Clive Barker to release the reboot of it first.

Call it a hunch but either I worded my question wrong or Murdy is saying Lemonade is actually NOT a new film. From that, it's either a film that came out....or even a remake which can still be considered not a new film...don't mind me, totally not glancing at IT.
