Might have found a connection with The Big Chill and Psycho.... will post if I can gather more information.
EDIT: Alright - here it goes, with some huge help from HHNManics.
"The Big Chill" (ST) features several connections to themes found in Hitchcock's "Psycho"
- "I heard it through the Grapevine" was written by Norman Whitfield.
- "My Girl" features the lyric, "When it's cold outside, I've got the Month of May" (Mother's Day is in May)
- Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" alludes to Marvin talking to his mother when questioning what is happening around him.
So... thoughts?
I like the idea of a Psycho maze but wouldn't it be a bit awkward for it to be at the event despite there already being the motel and house that won't be used for this?
No the house on the tram ride cannot be used because it is only for viewing. Plus "Psycho" has never been at Hollywood as a Maze and it's highly requested at Orlando (Well a Alfred Hitchcock Maze has been highly requested at Orlando) so I could see them doing a Shared "Psycho" Maze.
I also made a connection with Psycho but with a different code name, "Charles". Marion Crane trades her car in a used car dealership after she stole $40,000. The car dealer's name is California Charlie. Murdy also said he wrote a very iconic scene in the treatment that's nearly impossible to be translated in a house. Could he be talking about the infamous shower scene? I could be wrong and The Big Chill could be Psycho, but it's a possibility.
When does construction for the event usually start? I am going to Universal within 2 months or less and 'maybe' I could catch a glimpse of the houses.
Usually in May. Last year construction started first on the JP Queue ("Halloween Hell Comes To Haddonfield") in Early May.
We will have multiple scarezone themes this year, not just one theme like The Purge in 2016
