Is the fencing viewable from the walkway (between the JP entrance and Thunder Falls)? Or is it only in the backstage area?

Either way, exciting times!

You'd have to go into backstage areas to get a better, clear view.

I'm in the shorter ride boat...I think the effects and surprises start to wear out after about 4 minutes at most

Don't care about the length as long as it's good.

I agree, but that's why an approach where the first 2 minutes of the ride are more like JP River Adventure could work to its advantage.

Depends on the ride. A more traditional dark ride is better with length, you need longer than four minutes to weave together a proper narrative.

Anything focusing on thrills is more than fine with the sub-five minute length. Things that mix both (like Splash Mountain) also really seem to do well. I can't imagine halving the ride time of Splash, there is no way it'd be a comparable experience.

But, I'm also just projecting what I like in a ride, so therefore that's what I am hoping for!

Well, the rules of ride length don't truly apply anymore. As both Dinsey and Universal are showing us, they wamt the whole experience to be captivating, from the scenery and structure of the building to the decor/immersion of the line and the ride experience. Just like Potter, I'm sure we will have an immersive line as well as ride experience.

I just don't see how they can fit a while Kong land inside that little space.. I think its going to be a New Jurassic Park Themed ride but with the same ride system.

I don't think its technically a Kong 'land' only a stand alone Kong ride with a heavily themed queue from what I've heard. It is possible that the whole JP area will be rebranded but it may just be on its own beside JP. Perhaps if the rumors about Toon Lagoon being rebranded (and about Rip Saw Falls being replaced) are true, part of the old TL area will eventually become part of a new 'island' that Kong fits into thematically. I don't know this to be true or anything, just spitballing.

If they use multilevels and space management I can see that. transformers is a good example of this. Perhaps building up making a "hill" and having lower levels?

There is a lot of potential with the 360:3D platform that wasn't fully utilized in Kong at USH. If they were to keep the 3D segment at 2-3 minutes, with a practical scene or two. This ride won't suffer from repetitiveness. From my limited understanding, there are a lot of new "Tricks" being created for the two 360: 3D attractions currently in development.
