Middle Earth coming to UOR?

Definitely not but I think it was planned to have a stunt show there then when the rights failed they went to fear factor. Also I honestly can't take more potter, hopefully that show is replaced with another show

I guess but if hogsmeade doesn't conince IP owners than diagon will seal the deal. Anymore and it's just kinda ridiculous. Another thing is I think universal is just looking at middle earth right now for rights sake.

Everything they've added recently has been by universal or has already been bought out by universal. Middle earth is like the last BIG thing that could get the potter treatment and if the rights holder to that is still weary on giving it to universal at this point after seeing potter and what they are going to do with Peter Jackson's kong (same director of LOTR) then something isn't right

King Kong as an IP is owned by Universal Studios even if Walt Disney were to rise from the dead amd write a script based on it. LOTR is not controlled by its director or studio, however. New Line Cinema have distribution rights to the films but the property is still controlled by the Tolkien family. So even if Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema think Universal can hanle the property extremely well, it doesnt really mean anything.

I remember he was insanely involved in 360 so if the rights holder of LOTR loves peter and will trust him to be a part of a LOTR experience after seeing his contributions to his kong ride. They might be a bit more trusting than universal creative alone

Thats what Im saying though...they're irrelevant. Besides, Jackson ready worked with Universal for Kong 360, so if they still havent given up the rights that should show his level of persuasion with them.

Totally, hopefully he will be really involved with the orlando ride because he's a awesome guy. BTW any idea if we will see any characters from the actual movie like adrien brody?

This project has been so on-again-off-again over recent years that I try to stop myself getting excited every time it looks like it might be happening again, but... Sounds like we might be edging towards getting somewhere!

It could still be in the sales pitch stage. It appears that any project is given a number long before it is ever approved or greenlit.

Most companies nail a project number on their ideas before they are pitched, let alone scoped and costed. It allows idea management and prioritisation from the start

yeah, if this comes I would say it gets its own park. A whole gate for LOTR. There is just too much to choose from and the only land mass available for project of this magnitude would be kidzone and MIB mystery plot. Unless this goes there in 2016, I dont see it happening. TL even seems a bit small IMO for this project and also for The tolkein estate. Will it happen? Eventually I believe so, especially seeing how much the family despises Disney, they would never give them the rights.

Here is what I would like to see

MIB/Mystery plot become Tokyo, along with a godzilla dark ride where MIB is and a Test Track type of ride in mystery plot.
Kidzone - Scifi city for a futuristic city with a star trek dark ride and prometheus D-ticket or show (Like alient encounter in MK)
Disaster becomes Ministry of Magic - Indoor shops and ride, would have to expand in the back, this allows FFL to be apart of Tokyo
TL - LOTR expansion part 1
LC - ??
