Trap door to drop you into slides inside the volcano.

I don't mind hints and clues, just don't really care for the extra leg work. Take this number, add this slide, minus this wave pool, multiply this project number, divided by a volcano...whatever.

It is all about that Common Core math, which you seem to have down (probably the only one in the US who does LOL).

It's obvious this park will have one of those Skybox things with the trap door for a drop slide or two. They're super popular in the Waterpark industry right now...though honestly I prefer Whitewater West's AquaLoop over the Superloop by Proslide.

A water slide that gives the illusion of going into an inactive volcano is pretty awesome. I think this could be the best "themed" water park since Blizzrd Beach. I wonder if we will truly see any record breaking attactions though.

Final two words:

"Free-Fall"

Please remember that there is a number in front of the first two words. Too, I believe the first two words to be the most important. The world record for these is between Kilimanjaro in Rio, and Verrückt in Kansas City. The record seems to be 168'. Neither uses a trap-door...

I'm not sure the volcano will be all that inactive, according to Teebin.

Sadly, when you break a record, someone will be compelled to break it again. The idea that it might happen in total darkness would be novel though.

Actually, I have no idea if or what the Volcano might do as seen from the exterior, however I think it would be silly to build it and not have it do something. On the interior is a completely different story. Way more than one attraction inside. I would guess 4-7. Staying a bit vague because I cannot know what might be changed going forward.

So the volcano will basically be the "combo" tower of the park, except the majority of the rides will be in the volcano. Sounds really cool. Although i wonder how muggy / hot that volcano will get with all that water and somewhat blocked out sun. I would imagine a big part of the project would still need to be outside the volcano. A lot of people like to sunbathe at water parks

The outside will be all taken care of I assure you and the "majority" will not be inside the volcano. They are building this park for capacity, near excessive capacity.

I would imagine the volcano could be the indoor water park portion for use in the very cold winter months when no one will be at their outdoor resort pools. Then in the summertime as the water park becomes busier the outdoor portions would handle most of the capacity. But the unique indoor portions could make this a year round attraction which solves one of the problems with water parks.

I know i'm late on this clue a bit, but this clue reminds me of the new slide that opened at Aquatica this summer that used a "trap door" do to speak.

There will be a few trap door free falls at this park, but only 1 "Feature Height, Trap Door, Free Fall". To the last of my knowledge anyway. I don't know the height as I don't know what height was given the green light. (and that rhymes)

Ihu's has four unique slides, the longest being 420 feet long. Are we looking at something along the lines of this (A bit more themed hopefully, but the general attraction):

Did you guys see the story about Whitewater West getting a contract to build about 50 waterslides for a park in China?

I wonder how many slides this Uni Waterpark will have...

Blizzard Beach has about 25
Typhoon Lagoon has about 15
Aquatica has about 35
Wet N Wild has about 22
Adventure Island has about 30

So i'm guessing somewhere between 30-50 slides?

I think you might be over estimating these. I believe Aquatica is closer to 25 and BB is more like 19-20. And both of those are counting the little kiddy short slides.

China is silly as Henan province (about the size of Missouri and where the park is located) has a population of 93 Million. That is 1 waterslide for every 2M persons.

That said, I believe your calculations for Universal are a tad too high when it comes to waterslides.

I was so excited to see the dirt piles today that I took the risk of snapping a drive by pic for my OU buddies haha. Check out the proof.

^ Thanks! Is that a berm already built around the site? Sure looks it. It used to be a flat wasteland as I recall.

Aquatica:
Ihu's Breakaway Falls: 4
Dolphin Plunge: 2
Omaka Rocka: 2
Tassies Twisters: 2
Whanau Way: 4
Walhalla Wave: 1
HooRoo Run: 1
Taumata Racer: 8

24 adult slides plus another 12 or so for the kids...so about 36.

Blizzard Beach:
Summit Plummet: 1
Slush Gusher: 1
Teamboat Springs: 1
Downhill Double Dipper: 2
Toboggan Racers: 8
Snow Stormers: 3
Runoff Rapids: 3

19 adult slides plus another 4-6 for the kids...so about 25.

Thinking 30 or more slides isn't out of the question...especially if there are racers.
