New Water Park coming to Universal Orlando?

There haven't been any permits filed for Sapphire Bay before this week either, FWIW, and land clearing and prep started there a while ago.

Permits for Project 664 were filed as early as August.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they're starting now. If what you guys are saying about it opening 2017 is true, then it needs to start soon. Even if it's a whatever park, it's still an entire new park that needs to meet Universal's standards as far as theming goes and Teebin has hinted at this huge Volcanic structure. I feel like it will probably take at least 2 years and even if they finish the park sometime around late 2016, Early 2017, no one opens a water park in the Fall/Winter anyway.

The earliest they would open it is for Spring Break 2017.

Exactly, need to start now for 2017 for a new park.

With respect for all the insider information I've gleaned off site, I don't understand the process of releasing information in veiled clues / drips and drabs. It seems like the only thing it accomplishes are 1) the Leaker feels less responsible for revealing sensitive information and 2) the Leaker gets attention, neither of which are respectable things in my book.

If you have info to share, then share it. If you're not comfortable sharing because you'll get in trouble, then please don't.

It seems to me that you have not been here in the sometimes long periods of time when it "appears" nothing is happening with few posts of new information. I appreciate that this is your view, but if you just want to just get the news, may I suggest you listen to the podcast and read the front page while those of us who do enjoy the information we receive, no matter how it is conveyed, discuss that in the forums in a manner that each individual feels comfortable sharing.

You were the kid who peaked in their parents closet before Xmas to see what all they got you weren't you?

Its a game and im sure part of the fun in it is watching us squirm and guess and see who Is close to nailing it. As far as the attention can you really blame them with doing things like HTF did with his articles? I mean this is a web site and im pretty sure they would like to grow viewership and bring in new members just like any other web site that is looking to grow.

Considering we have 2.5-3 years before we experience the park, I'm pretty good with having some mystery.

Would be amazing if the addition of "1" to "feature hight" means that they will build the tallest water slide in the world; could you imagine a 200ft proslide super loop with drop box! Aquatica's Ihu's is only about 85ft, so imagine this more than double the height ... that would be mega intense!

I greatly disagree with you.. forums are made for discussion.. the writer has every right to release hold as much information as he wants... when he wants.. like Richjagr said .. go to the front page if you dont like the process.
