Universal needs to give up one of their double-size soundstages and build a great movie ride. In it they can have scenes from ET, JAWS, Back to the Future, Twister, the original King Kong film, Blues Brothers, and every classic film they think people either love, will sell merchandise, or honors a closed down attraction. That will satiate fans, and be a slap in the face to Disney when they turn theirs into a Mickey Mouse ride.
Then they can close whatever they want and I won't complain one bit.
Honestly, we don't need the whole ET ride, just the flying bit at the beginning. The rest is a strange acid tripped out fever dream that has nothing to do with the film, or sanity.
