Nintendo Switch

The direct yesterday, was the direct of the week. It just came earlier than anticipated apparently.

It was a direct mini, not a major one like ppl have been expecting. There's rumors that theres one that's supposed to pertain to the Mario anniversary and it might be either tomorrow or next week.

If they wanted to make a "Direct" of a major Nintendo title, it would've been announced not today. Also, Friday's are usually dump day's so..

It was rumored for this week. Not the beginning of September. And from what people have suggested, the Mini was the Direct of the month. Now, next month is..a bit of a weird one? Because, Tokyo Games Show is still happening. As is Nintendo's briefing that they have done often. If Mario's Anniversary is being announced--it could be possible that it'd be around the time of September (and around the time of Mario's anniversary in general). Especially as in the VGC rumor originally posted, what they planned for June was encompassing not just games, but other forms of media.

If you want reliable information about nintendo directs and just gaming information in general follow spwanwave on YouTube. All week he was saying the direct we get this week is not what people are assuming it to be and had questioned it being on a Friday. Been watching his stuff for a few years and he has been very accurate in telling you what to expect and where to set your hype level.

I've never played the first Hyrule game but I probably should before this one comes out.
The first game isn’t canon to the official Zelda story. Only this one since it’s directly tied to BotW as a prequel so this game actually has nothing to do with the first Hyrule Warriors except sharing gameplay.

Nintendo....we only have animals crossing...ohh yes and 3 Mario Classics, Pikman and a Prequel to the Zelda everyone loved

It sucks we could not have gotten a direct with all these games in one video but this year is ending very high for Nintendo. At least for me

Not to mention Retro just keeps securing more and more talent for Metroid Prime 4.

Could mean something, could mean nothing. Nintendo reportedly asking developers to make 4K compatible games for the rumored next gen. Switch.

Worth noting this comes from Bloomberg, which has reported the rumor of a graphically better/ performance boosted switch since its release

Nintendo Reportedly Asking Developers to Make 4K-Ready Games, Suggesting Switch Upgrade - IGN

My guess is the "Switch Pro" or whatever wont come in the form of a new Switch, rather a bulkier dock with a better processing power and graphics chip at around $150 with a firmware update to go along with current switch owners so that they aren't left out.

Also worth noting a patent for individual joy cons with no attachment rails has been trademarked by Nintendo.

I wonder if they may try to position it similar to how Microsoft has for the Series S|X, cater towards two demographics that they can support in their own ways.

Wouldn't be far off from the Wii and DS albeit--but in different manners.

Or y'know. It could just mean that Super Mario RPG is coming to the SNES Online service--as a surprise title for Mario 35th that can be saved for a next wave of SNES titles coming to Nintendo Switch's Online services.

If they would've announced a sequel--then they would've talked about it during the Mario 35th Direct.
