I am tossing this here as it is the most going AK thread right now.

Regarding the new roots on the Tree of Life; has anyone heard if the sculptures were created on site or were they brought in from off, and then sculpted into place? I must say that Disney is spending bucks on very nice additions that seem logically unnecessary.

They will be necessary as they will need more room in front of the ToL for the new nighttime entertainment. One idea that has been tossed out to me is a show similar to Celebrate the Magic at MK projected onto the ToL.

I think we'll see something similar to Disney Dreams in Paris (water/projection mix)...minus the Pyro

That walk through section looks like the acid trip portion of the ET ride.

Still don't understand any of these tests. What is that floor mapping going to be used for? A queue, play area, nightime thing, knockturn alley like outcove? I mean what does this mean? also that model....woof is right

Yeah, it looks good, but the translation to real world has me worried...plus, knowing Disney's cost cutting "strategies" recently, I can imagine it will not even come close to this mock-up

On that score, do we know how much control Cameron has over the project? I mean, what if he is not pleased with something they built, does he have the power to delay the opening of the land until it meets his specifications/approval?

Say what you will about Disney's recent attractions, but you can't deny they put their all into placemaking. It'll translate.

Maybe because I don't care for the IP much and since Disney has not impressed me lately, but my reaction to this video is a big "eh".

I always thought the engineering for the original concept of the floating mountains may be to advanced to execute realistically, or at all.
