Was flicking through the channels earlier and Was surprised to stumbled across the Jimmy Fallon show, first time I've really took time out to watch it, although ten minutes was enough lol. I wasn't even aware it aired over here.

Was interesting to see the studio, the set and the audience and try and piece together what parts will be part of the attraction, I presumed the ride would be made up of those red seats.

Even though the show wasn't my cup of tea I found Jimmy came across as a fun , likable guy and can see why uni would use him to front a ride.

The biggest thing that jumped out at me though was the fantastic opportunity for cross promotion, I would never have stopped and watched I'd it wasn't for the ride and this will work vice versa. What a chance to push the brand , something Walt did to his advantage all those years ago.

Yeah it's very much hidden over here on E! (which is NBCU owned anyway), a channel that is mostly Karsashian boredom!

Same as the Late Late Show with James Corden is only on Sky OnDemand.

Jimmy Fallon was at Universal today. Looks like he was filming promos for the ride, but he may also be filming promos for a Tonight Show at Universal ad.Universal Orlando Close Up | Jimmy Fallon Takes Over Universal Orlando

I wonder if the gift shop will be ready before Christmas.

And whatever happened to the tent?

Isn't there a tent behind the building. Is that the tent we saw the permit for a while back?

There is. It was acting as a HHN break room for a while.

Is there any precedent for Universal doing something like that? It seems like they're strict about opening the entirety of an experience at once, even if it sets the schedule back dramatically (Diagon)

The gift shop at Minion Mayhem opened well before the ride. You could could hear construction through the walls of the gift shop.

Not to mention, this isn't going to be strictly a Jimmy Fallon gift shop. It'll likely have merch from a wide range of NBC properties. Opening it sooner makes sense.

Yeah, the NBC Store in NYC sells a lot of stuff from all different NBC shows, many that are tough to find merch for anywhere besides online (things like Parks & Recreation, Community, The Office, SNL, etc).

Yup, Although that isn't a part of the actual ride building. A better comparison would be when the Transformers gift shop opened early before the ride.

I'm curious to know why you don't like Fallon...

In another light, the stone work seems to be wrapping up.

EDIT: In another, albeit interesting note; they've been filming throughout the week at locations throughout USF (with some ranging from the Transformers and Simpsons Ride areas). I wonder if that means we may see new commercials synergizing Fallon alongside other characters seen in the parks?

I've heard a few comments regarding disdain for Fallon. I have only seen him a few times but to me he comes across as a decent guy with a good sense of humour and is good for a laugh and doesn't mind sending himself up.

So I ask the question, what is it folk don't like about him?

The general consensus is he comes off as super-fake when interacting with guests. A guest coughs, Jimmy Fallon laughs to the point of tears. I hate (yes, hate) him when interacting with guests, think he's great in skits (a la SNL).
