Universal Orlando Close Up | Details Revealed For Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon

My initial reactions as such:

1.) That façade looks incredible as conceptual art. I am so excited to see how it looks at night in real lighting because it looks rather impressive. As Skip pointed out, it seemed like there'll atleast be a mural to cover up the remaining portion of the SS which is another plus. I would joke about the #SynergyisUniversal with that giant Comcast sign (and the NBC Logos where the gift shop will be) but to be frank; it looks divine even from conceptual art.
2.) The return of Hashtag the Panda is going to be interesting to say the least; but I love the attention that seems to be going for the inside. I recall that @Teebin mentioned in the past that this attraction was where they are apparently going to attempt to start queue-less lines for attractions and it seems like it. Perhaps it's a thing that can be adjusted to an actual line if needed, but I am very interested to see how the preshow aspect of RtNY works out.
3.) The Flying Theatre; while I see people saying it's not going to be Dynamic I think i'm going to wait and see. They have a development center in Orlando now, not just that; it doesn't have to be a unique use of the theatre but perhaps a use of it similar to what Wings over Washington or Hubei in the Air but smaller in size. It should be interesting to see what happens, but either way I am curious.

I am confused on why this is getting so much hate on social media, it looks amazing and it will be a very nice addition to the New York section and Universal in a whole.

Simulator and Screenz fatigue is probably why I see people reacting negatively towards this to when in all reality, it's going to be a rather good D-Ticket for the park that has most likely a higher capacity than Twister, Theming and the most important, actually making sense in the area it is located at.

If Soarin' is seen as an E ticket at Epcot, I don't see why this can't end up being seen in the same (hopefully even better) light at USF. I'm really looking forward to it!

I honestly can't wait. It will make New York feel like New York for the first time in forever. Now all we need now is some street vendors selling hot dogs!

My guess as to "the first ever flying theater" thing, is that it obviously won't be the first ever "flying theater attraction" but it will be the first theater that flies. As in it will look like a theater before it takes off.

This is what i've pictured the whole time, going back to when we were talking about the Dynamic version of this type of attraction.

Everything I read sounded like things that would be a part of the queue, ride or post-ride. If you look at the "making of" video in the announcement on the Universal Blog, they filmed a segment with the Ragtime Gals in front of a green screen.

Also, it mentioned other staples of the show being used such as "History of Rap", which I assume to be a part of pre-show or ride, and Hashtag the Panda, which will probably a post-ride meet and greet. I'm pretty sure that we won't be seeing a roaming History of Rap group (let's hope not after how that Food Truck show was...).

This has way more of a story than Soarin. I'n Epcot, it would be an E-Ticket but considering that there is a plethora of attractions In USF, it's considered a D ticket. It really should be considered an E Ticket though, not every E is a major thrill ride.

6 years ago it would be an easy E ticket in today's market I'd call it a D. Nothing wrong with that and I still think it will be a great attraction, just that the bench mark has moved a lot in recent times, especially at Uni.

It's only an E-ticket in Epcot, because that park has so few E tickets...I still found it pretty boring. At least this will make me laugh (I hope).

Epcot is so lame they could call the fountain of nations an E ticket.

How long do we expect this to be? Shrek 4d is 12 minutes, Minion Mayhem is 5 minutes. Terminator 2 3D is 12 minutes. Simpson is 5 minutes.

I'd assume somewhere around 5 minutes.

Didn't somebody insist they were going to use the Hanna-Barbera / Minions ride system?

Apparently that isn't happening.

I have no idea how long the attraction will be, but going by the capacity, I would think that 5 minutes is close to correct. 144 people every 5 minutes ain't super duper.

This has been a rumor that has reared it's head in recent months. I have NO idea what the sources are so I am sticking with my sources and what I know and what I have seen.
