Does anyone know if they've begun to install the ride system?

To give you an idea how bad a shape Disaster was in, I learned how to evacuate before I even finished my 3 days of training lol. That being said, working that attraction was the most fun Ive ever had at a job. And the team was really close (and still is).

i still don't understand why they took out two rides at once over at Universal? Especially one with great capacity like Disaster. That poop would eat people up so fast. Twister, eh, it was fun but never really had a lot of people on it. However though, with two rides and a show gone, Universal really should be picking up the pace with both Fallon and FF, in my opinion anyways.

Twister may have seemed like it was softly attended but it actually was a huge people eater too.

I've heard from team members at HE that every time the train passed the controls room for Disaster, they would experience radio fuzz and communication delays. Any truth to that? If so, I'm sure that put one of many nails into Disaster's coffin.

I think it is safe to say that Universal got its money's worth out of Disaster. Gone but not forgotten.

I enjoyed the attraction a lot. Not great for re rides, but certainly an attraction I looked forward to doing once on a vacation trip. I look at Poseidin's Fury & Terminator the same way. I wish they could have kept Disaster, but I understood that Uni had no choice but to close it down. That's kind of the trouble with attractions like Disaster & Twister. Due to the attraction's focus on sets and set effects, they don't have the longevity of other types of attractions. That stuff deteriorates & breaks down after a while.

Whats really sad is losing the audience participation. In old style Universal, Disaster/Earthquake, Murder She Wrote, Alfred Hitchcock all used volunteers from the audience. Now I think just Horror Makeup does briefly. (And at Disaster we really put them through the paces in six minutes!)

There's always Fear Factor, Animal Actors, Celestina Warbeck and numerous street shows.

No doubt for animal actors, but Fear Factor seems to keep hanging on and on and on.

Fear Factor must have some heavy blackmail pictures. Maybe the worst theme park show ever, but it's still there.

USF has reached a point that they can only afford to shut down so many rides to switch them out. Fallon and F&F need to be completed to gain capacity back, before KidZone or even Fear Factor have a hope of being changed for the better. They don't want to be how DHS is currently.

I always thought Fear Factor live could at least be a good space for a nostalgic Nickelodeon show that kinda shows iconic stunts used in gameshows back when Nickelodeon Studios was a thing. And this could even use audience participation too.

To stay on topic though, I just really hope this and F&F work as people-eaters. At the end of the day both Twister and Disaster were rides that got old quick, even if these rides aren't too good, I hope they at least will help with capacity among the other rides within the park. I doubt Fallon's will be too much of a capacity eater, but i guess we'll see.

I believe Fallon is supposed to have two screens so that should help with capacity.

I wouldn't say worst ever, not while that lumberjack show exists at Epcot..It should have been around for maybe three years at most though..I do like the idea of a 007 stunt show, but we are in the Fallon thread so....

I....like the...steal beams...they are....steal-y
