The general consensus is he comes off as super-fake when interacting with guests. A guest coughs, Jimmy Fallon laughs to the point of tears. I hate (yes, hate) him when interacting with guests, think he's great in skits (a la SNL).

This perfectly sums up how I think about him. I think the ride will be closer to skit Jimmy than interviewing Jimmy.

hes the type of guy who tells a joke then laughs at his own joke even when others are not.Though when ever he is singing with others his show is worth watching.

I don't think he's funny. I think he's fake. His jokes and skits are so childish and silly (not in a good way). I just really can't stand him, his face, the way he acts. Lmao. Jimmy Kimmel is so much better imo.

I just don't understand why they would dedicate a whole attraction with him in it.

Fallon seems to be the most centrist, least political of the Late Night Hosts (he has "slow jammed the news" with Obama and Trump famously allowed him to mess up his hair.)

He seems to me the be the least likely to offend any demographic, and therefore a safe choice for Universal from a PR perspective.

Seems the majority are not fans, I guess the general public love him though and lets be honest, you don't get the late night TV slot without having some popularity. Fronting the attraction is not a decision Comcast would have taken lightly either, but I guess his high energy and enthusiasm won through.

I'm not really a fan nor do I dislike him, just playing devil's advocate and trying to earn a little more about Jimmy and the popular culture of my US buddies.

As a side note, thought he was great in the Muppet video above.

I never realized people didn't like Jimmy Fallon. His Tonight Show has been my favorite incarnation of the show.

True, but its not like they needed a network host period, they could have easily used an animated IP or movie star.

Loathe or love Fallon I think the ride will be half decent too.

Yeah, I think you hit it with the cross promotion comment. That is something Comcast likes to do with their properties, and, in fact, said that was the main reason for the Dream Works purchase. Financially, it makes great sense. And, in this time of declining network show ratings, Fallon is doing quite well. Run with a winner and you can't go wrong. People that really like him "might possibly" make a trip to Universal just to experience this attraction. People that don't care for him or are neutral will still go on the ride because it's a new attraction. Myself, I'm not excited about the attraction, but I think the general public will eat it up like they did with Despicable Me. Lot's of people will buy lots of merchandise from the NBC store, whether they like Fallon or not. For a price of a D ticket attraction, Universal will make E ticket level money from merchandise sales and cross promotions through the entire Comcast business empire. When you look at what the bottom line potential is, it's actually a brilliant idea.

I don't know in how many countries the tonight show is shown. It's here in The Netherlands off and on. I guess it's never a success. Maybe because of the US 'humor' or the lack of any depth in the 'interviews'. But I don't hate the guy, I don't know him nor his staff that is creating the show.

Still I think it's a nice ride. I think the New York part is enough of an appeal to ride it multiple times and I think it's a good use of a small plot of land that housed a not so great Twister attraction. I like the exterior and I'll brows the store for sure after the ride.
