Anything's better than a little piece of scaffolding holding up a little 2D sign... IMHO...

Well, except murals... with 2D cutouts...

The sad part about this is there will still be people walking right in with bags not even paying attention to this big stop sign

Isn't everything they are doing at the resort part of the 1.5 Billion? If all they are doing with the money is build $100 million rides, then they are somehow building 15 amazing rides! It only makes to some some of the money, even if it's a small million dollars, to build a great entrance. Besides, they are going out on this resort. So why not go all out the entrance?

Even with 1.5 Billion you must spread the money out and spend it wisely. The money being spent here is more of an investment towards customer satisfaction. They are streamlining the queue and adjusting the flow to hopefully rid the entrance of the crowd of idiots who stand at the entrance and decide what their doing for dinner that night. The narrow entry path that was in place just created a bottle neck and would create complaints from guests as well as a negative atmosphere.

Now with present day management aiming to raise customer service to appease its new and first guests you are seeing numerous little to mid size projects aimed at raising the customer service bar. While its not visually appealing to me the fan, it's something the everyday guest may or may not notice in terms of change but will greatly appreciate when their not stuck in a traffic jam.

So basically a small chunk of the 1.5 Billion will be spent to improve customer service, right?

The goal for the 1.5 is to have a better Universal experience. This ranges from new attractions to refurbishing bathrooms. The traffic jam in front of Mummy is not going to make or break someones vacation, but if they are already having an off day it is the sort of thing that might be a catalyst in a complaint or end up showing up in a complaint when they unload with everything slightly wrong that happened.

I'm perfectly happy with them just fixing the entrance path. Would I love more? Duh. But it's way down on my USF wishlist.
