Nice photos. Still a lot of work to do. I'm sure they'll finish since the rooms are booked, but it's going to be close.

As a local, I play around with the app a lot and very rarely find it hard to get FP+ or does the system make it hard for me to "wing it". We're actually going to DL in a month and my mom, who generally just finds things out as they happen or when I mention, was weirdly upset that we'll have to run around to get our FPs. For us, FP+ actually helps us relax more than we used to in the parks as all we need to do is click on the app and all the info or whatever we want to do (whether it be book a FP, check wait times or get a restaurant reservation) is at our fingers. WDW by far has the best app - much better than Disneyland's, Uni's or Seaworld's.

100% agree with this. FP+ made our Disney trips more relaxing. No more running to Kiosks to only find out they are sold out. No more sending the party in multiple directions to get FPs and then child swap them. It just was a pain in the butt before. So FP+ makes my life easier. Like you, I really have no issues using the app or finding what I want. Sure I don't get Mine Train all that often, but everything else I can find. Toy Story can be hard if you don't book 15 days in advance, but I have also found it the same day at times. I love it even more that you can book additional ones after you use the 3. It really makes things much easier and we have used it many times to avoid lines.

Was it worth 2B? No, but Disney numbers are always inflated because of their company structure. And also some were infrastructure changes that was needed no matter what. I think they could have done more with it and maybe they will in the future. And not the show your name in a poster more lol

I don't necessarily disagree, but I still think WDW vacations are about 10000x more complicated than Uni ones. At Uni I show up, ride what I ride, walk back to my hotel, and relax at the pool.

Agreed, if you stay at one of the 3 hotels with Express you are going to enjoy your trip way more at Uni than at Disney, it is going to be more relaxing.

However, if you don't stay at one of the resorts that has Express Pass it can suck on days that the parks get extra crowded. There are random busy days (like the Sat Maddog talked about) and other busy times (Spring Break, Summer, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and other holidays) where it can suck waiting in the lines you have to wait in at Universal.

So for me, since I never have Express at Uni, I prefer Disney's FP system. But I totally get where maddog and others like him who stay on site with express are coming from.

My point was FP+ is MORE relaxing than the old version Disney had. At least IMO because I never showed up to the parks early enough to get fast passes for rides like Toy Story. I also hated the running around to Kiosks, especially if the ride you wanted a FP for was across the park and then you get the FP for 3 hours later and end up at the other side to only then have to go back.

ETA: With the number of hotels Disney has, having a paid and free at some hotels I think would have been more of a disaster and Disney fans would have really complained. I think Uni had the advantage of when they did it, their attendance was lower meaning less people knowing the old way.

Sure, but it's also really easy to avoid those days.

And I mostly stay at Cabana Bay when I do stay at Uni, so I've only had express pass twice in all my years going to the parks. I don't mind waiting in line in the slightest,.

I have been to the Disney parks 3 times since the roll out of FP+, and I was able to get a grand total of 1 useful FP+.

But I haven't been since the attendance crash. I would imagine it is easier to get them now.

All of those pictures have me thinking about a stay at Sapphire Falls this fall. I love the palm trees and the look of the resort. Once it is finished, I think that it will provide a great place to stay and even a relaxing place as well.

I'm glad I won't be there until Sept. 24th. Maybe, just maybe, it'll be done by then. :)

Thanks for the photos, the quality of them is outstanding. Roughly 6-7 weeks before opening and the progress weekly is huge

I'm not worried, the amount of progress over my trip and from then to now is staggering.

Me either, after viewing Orlando Seekers last video of a week or so ago and then these pictures, does highlight just how quickly they are putting things together.
