Yeah, the blue and orange is definitely a Caribbean thing. It's actually an inexplicably common color combination there. I've stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort at Disney a couple times but it actually wasn't until I hit St. Maarten on one of my cruise stops that I was like, "Oh, I get it now."

The art shows white shutters up top with maybe an orange inner color so maybe they will paint them

I did the garden walk last week and remember my GF saying they had a lot to do if they were going to have it up and running by July, I assured her Uni would pull out all the stops and have it done in time.

Having just seen @Brimans great shots I am a tad worried myself, I am now reasuring myself that Uni will indeed pull out all the stops:D:D:D.

Still going to be tight. Last week it still looked a good ways away. But they did plant a ton of palm trees. As I said before, they were buzzing with heavy equipment in the wee hours of the morning on our walks closing up Citi Walk. I'm sure they'll get done, but they'll probably be like the night before Disneyland opened. :)

Samantha's observation was right on. Lot's of work to do. So the walk was a good way to lessen the effects of all of those Hurricane's and multiple Sal's pizzas?

Yeah, literally no need to worry. The day to day progress is insane. At this stage my guess is that portions of the convention hall may not be completed but that's it.

I have a feeling that I am going to really like this place. I really can't pick a favorite out of the current on site locations as I like them all and each one for different reasons.

Anyway, reading in the latest UOAP Passport about the Strong Water Tavern and its 75 to 100 rum selections and knowing that rum is my drink of choice....I just have a feeling that I am really going to like this place.

I'm trying it in the Fall for a portion of my visit. The Water Taxi will be a nice extra. Plus, it's adjacent to the really good Royal Pacific restaurants.

I been looking at pricing for SF and will stay here at least once but........

The price difference between RPR and SF's was quite a bit but probably not enough to sway me away from express deluxe resorts.

Think Mad Dog has the best Idea by doing split stays and getting the best of both worlds.

Thanks. Yeah, we really enjoy the split stays for a long vacation. We get to enjoy a bit of diversity, sample new things, save a few bucks, and still utilize Express Pass for most of the vacation (plus there's always a bonus Express day there).

Another thought, If you have AP with express after 4 then this resort would come into it's own.

Bartender at the Hideway had her doubts if SF would make it on time, we both agreed that not all buildings would grand open together. They were working this morning (Sunday) when I left CBBR so it is truly all hands on deck

Yep, I get it. We are fortunate in that we are only 200 miles away. Completely understand having a bigger expense to get here causing folks to try to visit Orlndo for more nights as a way to get a lot done on a long trip.

For us, we know we will be back, most of our trips are when we can make a long weekend or something. We tend to stay longer for HHN.

Anyway, we are trying this out for our HHN trip this year as we booked when they had the $150 resort credit. We have stayed at HRH for HHN and nothing beats the proximity to the Studios, but we can easily get by without Express as we spend most of our park time at HHN, an early start with early entry helps get some things done in the morning, then a relaxing afternoon at the hotel.

I've really been impressed with CBBR as it is easy to unwind and relax there. I know Saphire won't have a lazy river, but I am just hoping that with whatever restaurants we get, that I will be as impressed with this place as I am with all the other places on property and the way we visit UOR, Express really isn't an issue...I will consider the cost difference, but I think Express plays less into our decision than it does for other visitors...but I think I will do some rum tasting anytime I stay here...just trying to fit something in while they still have the FL resident offer that had a $75 credit but only required a three night stay...I think that is still a current offer.

All good points buddy  Having stayed at all the resorts I can fully agree. I did a 14 night stay one time at (bandcamp sprung to the mind then LOL) CBBR which was so relaxing and the express didn't matter as I was there for so long.

Oh to be a local  With 12 trips now and 3 in the last 10 months could I be classed as a part time local ?:D

We did 35 nights on site in 11 months at Universal when Diagon opened. I was starting to feel like a local. I know I did my fair share in propping up the Orlando economy.
