New mazes is replacing nightmare experiment. Along with a new scarezone.

Seems like they wanted to get started on this as soon as the busy summer season ended. Hopefully that means they're trying to get it reopened as soon as possible, given how many other major attractions are also closed/closing.

I have heard they want to get it open by April of next year but after what happened this year it’s anyone’s guess and the main focus are replacing the tunnel and roof so I think Seaworld views this as a annual refurbishment that’s why they didn’t announce it.

That's fine, but uh, what's going on with Journey to Atlantis, the attraction that's missed its reopening several times now?

Yeah, it's pretty awkward that it essentially missed the Summer season. I'd say it's become akin to Silksong with the delays, but Silksong actually provided some sort of update today!

I guess it's just me, but I liked the Shark Encounter as it was. I don't care how dated it looked. Just needed a general refresh IMO.

The shark encounter was my favorite attraction

I hope this new one is good but man.,.going to miss the old nature theme. Reminded me of the dinosaur around on the Disneyland train

I'm cautiously optimistic. While Sea World has really bungled rides lately (see: Journey to Atlantis that has yet to open), the recent Jellyfish exhibit is actually pretty good.

doesn’t seem great that half of the highlights of the new attractions are screen-based and one of them (the tunnel) was literally already the highlight of the attraction.

I just think they should have just updated what they had

The theming to me is so boring, looks just like any other aquarium

From the sounds of it part of this was also to make a way to have a Shark Encounter

Also its pretty funny to announce a attraction Redo when the last redo isn't even open yet . Maybe I will get to Sea World next year if they do a sale like this year where you get the rest of the year free...but we will see. My current pass will be done in January and just for now I will hold off on going and now that I have a knotts pass makes it even harder to justice as the park right now has less to do then normally with a coaster....water ride and aquarium down (also rumors the Penguins are leaving...so two of those down)

Arctic rescue with now testing so it should open soon also I’ve been hearing a Labor Day opening for Atlantis, but take that with a grain of salt as it’s missed all of it other rumored openings.
