On twitter, someone went to EPN for SFMM, and they said every maze was open except for Saw and Stranger Things, and they seemed to think it was just because the actors were still being trained. So maybe everything will actually be open on opening night? Even with just those two down, that's already better than what many of us were projecting

As long as they are open next week....then I'm good. Lol

I mean would be kinda insane for Saw not to open...Imean the house was at two events int he last year so the staffing reason makes sense

But man if Stranger things was the only house not open...your going to have guests upset that is one house that I feel like needs to be open

I met a dude in line for TCM that said he was just hired for Fright Fest & has his orientation/training next week. Not sure if monster or staff. But eitherway... they seem to be actively hiring (unlike HHN who could use extra backups)

Same twitter guy later said the mazes by Aftermath weren't open yet either... which seems a bit more on par, haha. Curious to hear reports from this weekend. I saw on IG they had a surprisingly nice "Fright Fest Extreme" sign for the main entrance.

I'm also getting conflicting info if Diamond Elite Members get into the mazes for free. We definitely get into the park for free, but I've gotten different replies about if the mazes are included as well. They have in the past. The latest report was yes, it is free, for those members, but I also heard earlier it wasn't. If it is included, I'll probably be going quite a bit, haha. But if anyone hears anything definitive about that, please pass on the info.

I got the next year season pass so I could get house access whenever

It sounds like at max the old passes could get one night but I think you need next years pass to go every night for free and enter the houses

Anyone hear what mazes were ready on opening night? Curious to know. I did see one pic that implied at least Trick 'r Treat was.

EDIT ON SEPARATE TOPIC:
After visiting the Passholder Portal, they now declare that Diamond Elite VIP members (and I assume regular Diamond Elite members) do officially get all mazes for free each visit to Fright Fest. So this means I may be able to go a lot, since it's basically free (or at least included) for me. It's a bit weird they listed this perk under "Rides", but there it is. If you have a Passholder Portal, check for yourself.

Also, they have also done away with reservations for Preferred Parking, and it's now just first come, first served.
