Well I heard that Doc Brown hi-jacked the rides programming and is getting all the trucks to hit 88mph once inside the ride to send them back in time so they can check out his old ride. The executives are NOT happy because guests are not forced to walk through the gift shop and will be losing out on merchandise sales...not to mention the endless supply of trucks they need. They added in the AA drivers so they don't have to keep hiring people as well. However, the rumor is that they might keep this feature and use it during HHN as a way to get people out of the park so it doesn't feel so crowded. ;)

Actually...speaking of the 3d...in all of the photos/videos of people riding the one thing I never noticed was 3d glasses. Did I just miss them or is there a reason they weren't wearing them? Sure they are outside in all the photos, but will the ride really have something along the lines of "ok team, time to put on your safety glasses!" in the dialogue once inside? I hope not...

I find it hard to believe there is an issue with the 3d and it isn't 'ready'. But, I bet I know where the rumor came from...

Well, from what I have heard in the past, wearing 3D glasses outside is not good for your eyes and can cause damage if worn for to long. In Hollywood, on the tram tour, they tell guests multiple times to not put on your glasses until told to so and then they also tell you to remove your glasses. I have a feeling it will be the same for this ride but i'm sure they will call them something other than 3d glasses.

I questioned this as well but I looked on the website a few minutes ago and it does list 3D as being a feature. Just wish they would drop 3D stuff. It's not needed on every ride.

Never really thought about it until now but it makes sense to not wear them outside, especially if it is sunny. The lenses are darker which open the pupil and if there is no UV protection that could cause damage to your eyes over a period of time. Main reason to never buy cheap sunglasses.

Now how will we be told to put on our 3d glasses, I mean battle glasses, I mean night vision goggles, I mean quiditch goggles, I mean safety glasses, I mean insect eye repelant...oh heck what will these mystery tech goggles be called in the 1930's?

I do wonder how many glasses will be lost over the side of the truck outside if we are instructed to not put them on initially?

I bet the 3d will be used to cause depth to the video much like Gringotts and not so much in your face 3d. Wish this could be done without glasses!

I'm sure the ride testers aren't wearing them just because...like @*Q* said, 3-D working is definitely the least of Universal's problems, seeing as how they are the ones who know how to do it best.

In the USH version, they tell you to put the glasses on when they get to the 360 scene. I wonder if we are looking at the same thing here.

Regarding the 3D rumor: That's the dumbest one I've heard yet.

That is all. :faint:

One would think they would be referred to Driving Goggles that were common around the time period and since we are going on a vehicle into an area with potentially hazardous molds, dusts and debris, it makes the most sense.

This video that was posted here a week ago clearly shows the riders have 3D glasses.
