I was in the parks last week when the Kong music and sound effects were first turned on. Seemed like it competed with JP music when walking between the two. Hard to feel immersed in one area when the audios overlap. Hopefully this is temporary.

Just so everyone knows, I don't do riddles any longer. I haven't really used riddles since Hogsmeade 2010. I either tell you all something flat out, or I let you know that something is coming but I won't tell you what it is but that it is exciting to me. The where, when, how I know something I lie about all the time. I bend the truth surrounding many facts. ;)

Teebin always has information he can't share. He shares what he's able to without compromising his sources. If he can't talk about something that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with whether it's good news or bad news, it merely means it's too delicate to put out there.

Hi everyone! Newcomer here! I currently live in So-Cal and just minute away from USH and around 40 to Disneyland (when there isn't traffic, but that's very rare;)). I just wanted to say that I am super excited for Kong and about to book an Orlando trip for July. (Hope the weather isn't too miserable) A little while back, some people we concerned if seats were going to be good towards the center of the row of the vehicle. My answer is that they are actually the best seats! Whenever I go on the Studio Tour, I like sitting in the middle of the row because it makes the whole experience more immersive and realistic on Kong 360 and Fast and Furious. When sitting towards the left and right side of the tram, you can see the top of the screens. I hope since that it is a smaller ride vehicle for ROK, they can make the 360 portion more immersive and so you cant see the edge of the screen. Other than that, I am so pumped for Kong!!

EDIT: Booked!!! Wooohooo

Little more info

1. Tuesday wasn't kind to Reign of Kong. Reports of multiple breakdowns/projector issues. (CM's are making the rounds on it)
2. As of yesterday evening everything has seemed to be going smoother. Talks of soft openings later next week but I really don't know if Tuesdays worries will delay that.
3. The "big guy" is still functioning great and like I had reported earlier seems to have a solid reliability rate for the moment.
4. Apparently yesterday morning at least 2 cast members (or team members) were either disciplined or let go for sneaking some pics and posting them on Tumblr.

I must say (irritatingly), Universal is doing damn well on locking down leaks in my point of view.

Dammit!

you know what would be cool for the future for 3D attractions to have 3d without the need of 3d glasses for 3d where you dont have to wear special glasses

So tomorrow marks 1 year since official announcement, anyone care to take a stab on when we'll get an "official" opening date given the recent teething problems?

The theoretical grand opening (June 22-24) is still more than a month and a half away. I doubt that gets moved at all.

Interesting date there, since it seems to fall almost exactly on a speculated grand opening date of another Universal attraction. :look:

The reported punishment for leaking ride photos is termination and a ban from property.
