With spiderman literally being the only ride in IOA with 3D, Kong having it doesn't bother me at all. Even if "3D the park" is right next to it

The ride will have AAs and sets like people have been calling for anyways. It's a best of both worlds.

Dolby 3D is used in Spiderman, Gringotts, Transformers, Despicable Me and at Disney, Star Tours (although, for some inexplicable reason, Star Tours glasses are not coated at the top so every time the ride dips, the screen dissolves into rainbow colors). In Orlando, only the theater downtown uses it. The glasses are expensive, but it also provides for a brighter and cleaner 3D effect than polarized glasses.

Agreed. Another reason i enjoy Orlando much more! So many ride out in the open and not muddling around in the dark under glasses haha

Going back to the 3D overload issue...


They could offer 2D glasses. They do exist where both lenses filter for either the Left or Right image, not both, thus the person wearing them would only see a 2D image and not both L and R which is what creates the 3D illusion. This would be an easy solution and not expensive. Glasses would still be needed, but your eyes wouldn't need to focus to merge the two images into one 3D image.

This is awesome. I never knew about this. So all I need to do is just tell the ride operator I want the 2-D glasses instead of 3-D?

I kinda feel like that's the case. I was at the park yesturday around normal testing times and it wasn't testing. I found it odd.
