Sounds like the number of potential people and ride cycles this thing could go through during a typical park day when operating full speed is pretty crazy. Will be interesting to see how the first full day goes in terms of break downs/delays.

I've been following the Kong threads here for a couple months. Appreciate all the inside info/reviews/comments on here. We have a family trip to Orlando in two weeks and our first time doing universal. Ive been hoping since we started planning that Kong would be open in time. Was glad to stumble on this place, and even more glad that it looks like Skull Island will be open for our trip!

I know there was 4 on site when I visited two weeks ago. They only had 3 of them running at the time, though.

Today is the first day Kong is opened up at park opening. I believe today is the first day that the power passes cannot be used during the summer. Interesting coincidence

No, Universal never announced a grand opening date. No, Summer 2016 does not mean you're forced to open June 21 with the solstice. Yes, like many other things, you can market a ride before it's officially open. No, Universal has yet to hail NOW OPEN on any of their advertising. Any other questions? Good. Let's move on.

Just checked the Touring Plans app, which utilizes the Universal app to get posted times. Reign of Kong is now listed, and has a posted 90 minute wait time at 1:45 PM.
