Quick note and not to derail: boats were taken off after opening to smooth out operations and reduce downtime.

What do you mean about the transition room? I have yet to ride Kong, heading up this Friday from Ft. Lauderdale.

That comes out to 7,200 for a 12 hour day, yet waits have still been topping out at 120-ish in peak times and dipping to 30-40 at times.

I know WDW is having a slow summer, but I simply can't believe 600/hour is likely at all for the relatively average waits it's been seeing.

900 is max. They can't load all the seats in the boats so 500 - 600 is as good as it gets

Second run through was through the regular line. Posted time was 45m but took 55m. Loved the queue. Scare actors earned their pay.:)

Ride cycle was 3:30 this time. By the time I got off wait time was up to 75m. Will not hit this ride first thing again. Better to wait a while. Am looking forward to riding at night.

I wish we had a database of @Mad Dog wait times so we could sort by time of day. We're only going in the parks this weekend early morning for EPA and late at night and want to know when to get there.

Seems like once you get past the jump the early entry people get by getting in line early, it kind of stays in the 60 to 90 minute range posted wait for the day, barring major breakdowns.

Seems like it. Team members were at the start of the line at opening quoting two hour waits. I think this was in part to encourage guests to come back later. A little girl ahead of me broke into tears when she heard two hours.

My post from yesterday was for park opening for all guests at 9am. Posted time went from 90 to 105 as I was there. Team members were waiting guests of a two hour wait. Don't go at rope drop. It settles in to a 60 to 75 range for most of the day.

As more people know that Hulk is open that should help, though maybe not by much.

I get that this is a brand new attraction. I'm still surprised at a 75 minute wait by 930 am. Just because there aren't that many people in the park the first hour compared to midday. It would be a little more understandable if it was 75 early, then 120 in the middle of the day. But that doesnt seem to be the pattern.

For those that don't care about seeing the queue, Kong, along with Hulk, is opening much earlier than 9am (the new Islands opening time), but the single rider line opens right at 9am. We arrived at the right at 9 and were the first ones through it, no wait whatsoever. At 9:15 regular was 75min.

It is a busy day at the parks today. Kong has been averaging 90 minutes.

Is late July/Early August far more popular than mid-July? I went to the park after the official opening for about 3 days, and the longest i've seen the line 75 to 90 minutes.

Rode Kong tonight, first night ride and it was spectacular. All motion worked and it seems they have been tweaking the vehicle speed. We came through the doors and slowed right down so we got a great look at the bones and the bats. They both looked great so I think the lighting was just right. The 360 was rockin and rolling then our trip past Kong was deliciously slow with the big guy doing his thing. Seemed like it has been adjusted from my previous 6 rides. I was back left in row 10.

One note for @Teebin, The gaffers tape with the guide points is now gone from the track with nothing I could see replacing them but I did single rider and didn't get a good look at the ride path. I did notice the tire tracks have been redone to be very black. Of course, there is no variation in the tracks at all. I guess all the drivers are really good at following the same path unlike it would be on a real jungle path ;)

I did single rider with a 60 minute posted standby time. I asked how long and the TM said about the same as standby so I was pleasantly surprised when I walked through the single queue right past the witch room and up around the turn. I was maybe 30 people back from the load! Really bare in there but the speakers overhead had a different spiel from the main queue. It explained a lot of the background by tapping into the "radio" communication between the drivers and their base. Covered pretty much all of the story. I think they need to put more of that in the main queue for those that never saw Myth Explorers.

Again I may never ride this during the day again. The night experience was just that good.

Great report. If I recall Universal said the official ride time was 5 minutes 50seconds. Could you time this slower version to see how much, if any, it deviates from that time?

I think the time is so subjective on this. All the people saying what a short ride and we know it is one of the long ones but sure I need an excuse to go back up and ride it again ;)

Maybe before you get here.

Thanks man. You really piqued my curiosity with that.
