Told the girls next to me to take them off after 360 they liked that! Said they were glad I was on the outside before the ride so I would be the one eaten..... no sympathy for the old guy, none at all!

Finally did it Thursday morning sitting on the right (row 6), was awesome to look the big guy straight in the eye, though on the right you can see somewhat of the actuators, then, that is kind of cool lol. I still really dislike how the top edges of the screens are so visible, especially when you sit on the left. I find it really detracts at moments (so I keep telling myself to keep my gaze down).

The drawback of the single riders line is you end up on the left side of the vehicle.

Yep, every time but I really don't mind it. You miss some of the effects in the bat cave and are not eye to eye with the big guy but I think it is still a good ride.

The actuators of the animatronic? Really? I was more towards the middle but I was able to see that the cutoff point is about where his wrists would be if I'm remembering right.

There is something to be said for sitting anywhere in the vehicle. However unlike other rides I would not want to do single rider all the time on Kong. Every once in a while I want to see the big guy up close.

Re-rideability? Yes, I think they built that in here. I have 7 rides in so maybe 65 more x 5 drivers and I can say I have done it all? ;) I like what they built, it will be relevant for years.

Yes, at the bottom the left arm I could see a white mechanism. Of course I was looking out to see stuff. So far can't see anything on the motion bases when I look down.

One of the reasons I love Gringotts. Every seat is a different ride.

Anyone else sign up for the passholder party for appreciation days? I figured it'll be a great way to get in some night rides on Kong ;)

Seriously 9 out of 10 times the motion base doesn't work on this ride. Painful to hear all the negative feedback of people getting off the ride vehicle every time. Just rode again and multiple people saying what a waste of a building cause you just sit there and watch screens and don't move (I'm thinking yeah that's cause the ride is not working).

The driver also drove with his head turned all the way to the right the entire time, lol.

I feel this ride is the perfect ride to cool off if you really don't want to get soaked, but like sprinkled. Jurassic Park is a gamble, you get soaked on the other two water rides heavily, Spiderman's effects are simply nothing really, but the large drops of water on this attraction cools ya off pretty well. Part of what I like about it.

But yeah the edges of the screens - even a heavy mist to hide them would be appreciated, or like foliage. Idk why Universal made it so they're not even remotely hidden.

I think "9 out of 10" is a little exaggeration don't you? Maybe I am charmed but my 7 rides (some during softs) I had motion every time....
