Soft openings for the food court and duff gardens are definitely Wednesday. That explains why they took down the walls in front if Moes, Duff, Krusty Burger, ect so when it is ready all they have to do is take down the walls toward the Simpsons ride and near SES.

Perhaps this is more a part of Production Central Plaza but since walls coming down is the Springfield theme of the day (week!) I'll put this here.  This is the planter and seating area outside Android's Dungeon.  Nice, I think.  And imaging how it'll look after those trees get a year or two of growth on them.

I totally see this opening in a couple days because now there is a planter where the 7 duffs will go, so if they aren't done with duff brewery they could just block the entrance which is going to be right next to the pizza place. Also don't expect Cletus's Chicken shack to be a full themed restaurant because the doors don't have handles so it will probably just serve as the exit for the food court just like in orlando's. Also there is a little cart next to the exit of Cletus's Shack for napkins, forks, ect. so they might not even have upstairs seating because wouldn't that all be inside the building next to the stairs?

I saw someone walk into Cletus Chicken Shack and although I didn't catch many details it looked like a fully themed counter service restaurant with employees in uniform.  I think restaurant employees are serving food to many of the park employees as practice.

Love love love it all! Honestly, it doesn't even look like USH! I can't believe it....and I like that little piazza between Androids and Hogsmeade. I bet that they'll use that space for extra seating.

Come on Universal. At the very least put an Simpsons themed billboard on the buildings or put a billboard up above the access gate to help block the view backstage.

At Disney Cali Adventure there is a new restaurant open called Smoke Jumpers Grill and you can totally see the back of the stores for Buena Vista Street. So if Disney does it Universal can too

Each of the three (Moe's, Krusty's and Cletus') have their own, themed counter service area and a small themed seating area with openings joining all three. Upstairs is more open but still themed to each. I saw a couple of cast members with a basket of the chicken and waffle sandwich/waffle fries walking back to the special Effects theater.

DCA is among one of the worst parks when it comes to sight lines. 

And the above example at Disney isn't really that bad, there are FAR worse examples in that park. However, its not a jarring change into into a backstage area like Springfeild.

Just because Disney has in the past done it, does not mean Universal should get a pass.

I suspect that the area to the right behind the construction wall will get trees eventually.  That will help minimize the backstage view a little.

DCA's exposed building is at the very least themed to not look like it's backstage. It was given a proper paint job and texture unlike Universal's.
