The Grand Opening Event will have a webcast!

You better believe we’re counting down the days until Star Tours re-launches at Disney Parks. And if you’re as excited as we are about this monumental occasion at Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort, then we’ve got some great news to share. You’ll be able to see the grand opening of “Star Tours – The Adventures Continue” as it happens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios right here on the Disney Parks Blog.


Beginning at 10 a.m. on May 20, we will host a live webcast of the grand opening that will feature the ceremonial arrival of several dignitaries from around the galaxy to join in the fun.


Our webcast will include the entire grand opening event plus some material just for those of you watching online. You never know what the Force may bring. The webcast also will be also be live streaming on our Star Tours Facebook page and on our Disney Parks YouTube page. The webcast will require a computer or mobile device that supports Flash.

HIGHLIGHT TO READ:
- We went to Hoth, talked to Yoda, and then went to Naboo through the planet core, and ran over Jar Jar
- It sounds like there are at least two different guest interaction storylines. A princess and a spy have been reported.
- Choosing someone in the vehicle, as a "princess" you need to help protect.
- Imperial bot scans starspeeder, stops on guest, takes their pic & declares them a wanted rebel spy

I am curious to know how the 3D works. That was my biggest concern with the ride going to a 3D idea. Does it actually look like you are looking through a windshield into a world or does it just use in your face gags(which would not make any sense to me being you are in a ship with a glass shield)
