Some people are crazy. While I see true attendance going up at DHS, I surely don't see it being anywhere close to MK numbers, nor can that park handle MK numbers. It is unrealistic to see any current Orlando park beating MK numbers ever based on capacity alone.

But I can see a 15% to 25% bump at DHS. The % in the first year I think depends on when it opens and how well that opening date is advertised. Depending on what happens the increase could be spread over two years and not one. But unless they keep doing stuff with DHS the attendance won't stay elevated. But again because TEA numbers are so full of crap, we will really never know the true bump or anything else.

Happiness = Expectations minus Reality.

I feel as though even if we are just speaking about opinions/tastes that a LOT of people screw themselves over before a ride even breaks ground in today's day and age. I certainly was guilty of this w Gringott's.

I just want decent rides. I could care less if it was PotC meets SW, Spidey meet SW, FJ meets SW, etc; etc; Bc they are all fantastic attractions, regardless of screens vs practical vs aa.

Not everything can be everything for everyone

I'm interested in what DHS's real attendance will look like post Star Wars. Its TEA numbers have been super inflated for years, so honestly it would not surprise me if its TEA number ends up somewhere around 13 post SWL

I am interested as well. From what I've seen, I think 20-30% increase on the high end of things.

Also, now this guy is hypothesizing that DHS will do about the same in attendance that Disneyland does.

The falcon ride looks a little claustrophobic for me. Similar to mission space. The resistance ride looked similar to Spider-Man.

What I really wanted was a speeder bike coaster similar to the tron light cycle.

I'll leave judgement to the final product, but so far I'm more impressed with the concept sketches of the land rather than those quick ride previews

I understand the Wizarding Worlds having small shops and I enjoy them but I also avoid them at crowded times....but when I see concept art and hear about them having staff in character, I just can't imagine how that can work in a Star Wars land.

The art work always seems to show a couple of people in them, but all these locations they seem to share in the concept art just look like the experience would not be so great if there were just 100 people there, the kinds of crowds this area should bring, I just do not know how well this will all work.

I think it's admirable that they're claiming they'll have in-character aliens staffing the shops, but I do have to wonder how long that will last.

I hope they follow through, but that seems like something that could get the axe quickly

I've been thinking the same thing. Whether they went the route of prosthetics or silicon masks, constant use 365 days a years takes much more extra time then most other characters in place at the parks and the cost would add up quickly.

I think those aliens are more of the lines of the Gringotts bank Goblin in the money exchange. Their is an alien but the store is really staffed by people.

yeah, I pictured the "aliens" to be mostly behind roped areas. With maybe a handful of walk around characters. it's way too expensive to have alien costumes for the cashiers.

I'd expect it to be like how Lauch Bay is, but upgraded with some AAs. They have some characters wandering through the building and have storm troopers patrolling and the bigger names are behind a long line.

Is it confirmed that Iger explicitly mentioned Hollywood Studios would be breaking ground along with Disneyland? I've seen it reported elsewhere that only Disneyland was mentioned, but those reports were also a bit vague.

Ok, does anyone know when they actually broke ground for Avatar? Just trying to get an idea of Disney style timeline. Because I know there was rumors DL would get this first and Orlando was delayed. But if they are both breaking ground it doesn't sound like those rumors are true.

Lol so 3 1/2 years. Universal can do lands in 2 1/2 years. So if they break ground now they could open by the end of 2019 even at their slow speed lol

I think a better timeline would middle of second quarter for each Avatar 2017, TSL 2018, SWL 2019. It would give them a land before summer starts 3 years in a row. That would be amazing and really draw crowds in. Then 2020 fix imagination or innovations in epcot, 2021 DHS 3rd phase, and then back to epcot.
